That sucks, I'm sorry to hear that... Kelly's right, though, you won't have to pay. Just get in touch with your credit card's fraud department (if they haven't contacted you already). If this person has been ringing up charges in other states, this will be very easy to clear up. If they've only been using your credit card for online purchases, it's a little harder to prove, but hopefully they'll be able to trace the IP address of the person who did this (or their server), and at the very least, establish that those charges were incurred from a computer far, far away from where you live.

that sucks. that happend to my ex-girlfriend before. they rang up about 3,000.00 in shit from footlocker and KFC and some other shit. they investigated it and it turned out to be some homie named Jamal from brooklyn yo (figures). anyway, the police investigated it and they didn't do a godamn thing to the kid. they let him walk. they gave her his name and address but they didn't do anything to him? wtf kind of shit is that? but the credit card co did reimburse her. |

I sold a guitar on ebay once, and when it didnt arrive to the guys house on time (he lived in Portland Oregon), he called the concord NH pd and they came to my house ready to arrest me for fraud. HAHHAHAHAHA
They were like, u kno why were here right?

It does because if its debit it comes right out of your bank account whether you use it as debit or credit.
What if these jackoff's hit her bank account before she knew and she wrote out check for bills like a mortgage, car payment and shit. Now the risk of bounced checks and bills not being payed is there. Then the cleanup of the bounced check charges and shit......would be uglier than a credit card company reimbursing her... |

Our huge Data Storage Company is sending their Customer Service Call Center over to India. People in the Dept. have had to train people from India that came here for a few weeks and are taking their jobs, nice huh...
Can't wait till one of our larger Customer's calls in and hears a whole different accent and shit... |

This sounds really familiar. I either read a story about this same scam, or else someone I know got hit with it.
Either way, this is why I NEVER use a real CC or my bank card for online purchases. I use money orders, checques, or cash. If I need a CC for online or whatever, I go to Cumberland Farms and buy a pre-paid credit card. It's worth the $10 fee, and you can reload it any time for a $4 a month fee. |
