I am currently in Houston with my wife and children at the absolute
generousity of our eternal friend Ginger Falgoust, Ben Falgoust of
Soilent Green's cousin. My brother Kevin and my family are here and
also in Arkansas, and reports are that water was not much of an issue
where we live though I fear wind damage and looting. I have received
numerous text messages and e-mails from friends and family from here
to Hungary, and for all of the well wishes I thank you. To the
jackasses back home shooting at relief workers and helicopters I say
you are what you eat, and that is the shit you give. I have heard of
wild stories ranging from the city resembling Escape From New York to
a report of a 3 foot shark swimming down a residential street.
Alligators, gangs robbing at gunpoint etc. It's gonna get uglier
before it gets better, so stay safe everyone and thanks again to those
well wishers and amazing Texans that have shown us charity. KT

Chris Nail statement

All of the C&M guys are safe – we are scattered throughout several states after evacuations…
Several stores have some damage; Hattiesburg had major roof damage and is a total loss with water and wind damage – but will be back stronger and better…
Still waiting to get back in the NO war zone to evaluate the rest of the situation.
Melvin and I are in Lafayette and can be reached at temporary headquarters with “Randyman” at the Lafayette store: 337-989-2838
All 800 numbers are tough, most 504’s are tough communications are tough…
But all considered we’re doing fine…
Talk to everyone soon, trying to put together an office of some sort out here or mobile unit in Destrehan when we can get there and power is back up and running…

Chris & Melvin

exhorder N.O. Relief tour?

A group of friends are organizing a benefit concert to aid several victims of Hurricane Katrina, including such respected members of the New Orleans metal community as Kyle Thomas (EXHORDER, FLOODGATE) and Ross Karpelman (THE MYSTICK KREWE OF CLEARLIGHT). "The venue will be Caves Lounge in Arlington," reads a mailing from the benefit organizers. "We are also working on a website that should be up by the end of the day www.ReliefNOLA.com. Anybody that cannot attend the benefit but would still like to donate can do so on www.paypal.com and donate using this e-mail address (reliefnola@sbcglobal.net). All proceeds are going to the following friends who lost everything in this horrible disaster: René Williams, Ross, Melissa & Jessie Karpelman, Steve & Wendy Joseph, Kyle & Stacey Thomas and Earl & Christy Roche. Thanks for you support and please help us spread the word.

"This is not a licensed charity. It is a group of friends trying to offer immediate relief for our friends and loved ones who were affected by this devastating hurricane. Every penny that we collect will go directly to hurricane victims."
