NEW YORK On Friday, one of the top stories in the media concerned a strong denunciation of U.S. killing of civilians by new Iraqi Prime Minister Maliki. His quoted words went well beyond the alleged Haditha massacre to include more "routine" actions, as he put it, such as U.S. troops in vehicles running down Iraqis or running them off the road.
