I'm starting up a new project and am working on material with a vocalist. I play guitar. We are from the South Shore and are looking for another guitar player, a bass player, and a drummer. The material I'm writing is along the lines of stoner black/death metal. As far as a particular style is concerned, I don't have much of a preference. A response here or on AIM: Pyromancerslair would be sufficient.

You should include your style of music, it will probably help narrow down your search.

Well, it's not 'mandatory' to listen to or even know about YOB if you want to form a stoner band. There are thousands of stoner-ish bands, and YOB didn't even release a full length until 2002! This isn't Pokemon, and you don't have to catch them all. I like their music too, but seriously...

When I say "stoner," I don't mean we're all gonna get together before practice, get baked, and see what happens. It's more of just a descriptive term for the sound of the stuff I've been writing. I try not to restrict myself to a certain style of music.
