New site? Maybe some day.

awesome flick. the music is what carried this, it was a little unfit for certain parts, but it was groovy. the scene where the guy is melting at the beginning had like a funk groove bass line going over it. i really enjoyed this, Fulci is the man. there was alot of good eye related gore in it. |
|
best Fulci movie hands down, i can't even count how many times i've watched this film, it's one of those films where you watch it and afterwards you want to get it out of your head |
|
yeah this and City of the Living Dead are great. |
|
hahahah city of the dead, when she throws up all her guts! oh man classic |
|
The Beyond is cool but I prefer Zombie(aka Zombie 2).Check out Zombie 3 and 4 but avoid part 5. |

i read that when they filmed that, the actress consumed sheep intestines and actually vomits them up, giving it a more real effect. well you can tell when it becomes a dummy head but for the real footage. |
|
from IMDB:
The intestine-vomiting scene was accomplished by having the actress swallow still-warm sheep entrails, then regurgitate them on camera. In extreme closeups of guts flying out of her mouth a fake head was used.

wonder if she was paid extra for that |

Seven Doors of Death was HEAVILY cut and the scenes were out of order. Gotta get any DVD with the title "The Beyond" on it for the uncut one. |
|
yeah I once bought the "Seven Doors of Death" dvd to see what the difference was. I watched it, and man did that make the movin not understandable in the slightest.
The Beyond is one of my favorite horror movies of all time, the gore, the soundtrack by Fabio Frizzi, the cinematography, the zombies, and pretty much just everything else about this movie. When I hear people saying they don't like it I'm pretty shocked. |
|
What I love about this film is that, regardless of how campy it seems, the scenes are just so haunting...
As if these people intentionally GIVE themselves to their fates. It's like watching a couple hours of suicide...
The acid scene? The spiders? So fucking random and creepy. A very different sort of horror movie. |
|
hahaha when the girl is watching her mother melt and the foamy sludge starts chasing her ahhahaha that was hilarious. you are right, they seem to want their fates, especially the woman who finds the guy dead with his eyes gouged out and gives NO sign of reaction. i'll have to watch The Beyond, the one i saw did have some head scratching scenes, but if its heavily censored i'm interested in seeing the original. |
|
hahaha oh yeah the spiders too. tarantulas that feed on human flesh. awesome. |
|
Death by carnivorous tarantula.
That movie is awesome. What was with the crazy blind chick that was in it, i mean she would probably be kind of hot if she didn't have those weird eyes, she would just sit at the piano and play this creepy haunting music, and talk all epic about the things that were going on and then her hands bled when she touched that painting, it was so strange. And the end of the movie that i saw was very head scratching, it was like they just walked into what appeared to be hell with this happily ever after type of music playing. Great movie just some very strange parts to it |

The Beyond is Fulci's masterpiece. It also Has in my opinion the greatest ending of any horror film. They just get stuck in the abyss from the painting. |

Zombie is Fulci's masterpiece in my opinion. The ending of that movie where the zombies are walking on the Brooklyn Bridge is brilliant!!!

Cool guido horror flicks, but yeah, the edited versions are so choppy, they make even less sense then an italian horror flick from the 70s would make normally. My only gripe about some quality italian horror flicks were the fact that the scripts and acting were so horrible that it could never rise about schlock, which is a shame. If you could remake some of these movies, but keep the gore as insane as the originals, I would actually not mind. |

Oh man if you only saw Seven Doors of Death you're missing out you gotta see the uncensored one. |

my friend had a two pack dvd with the beyond and one of his less greater films and they had an interview with her, she's been in a few other of his movies so she was use to the punishment.
whats so great about the movie is it's so atmospheric, and the characters just give up at the end, depressing! |
