No one is buying into any cheesy Satan worship - everyone knows that for the most part it's a gimmick and is usually not to be taken very seriously.
If you think Gorgoroth sucks, you're probably listening to the wrong albums - I admit their newer stuff isn't too hot, but check out the older "Pentagram" and "Antichrist". Excellent stuff.

I don't understand people like you. There are a lot of bands who write amazing lyrics. If your to fucking lazy and stupid to read then you shouldnt be listening to music at all. I'm sorry but some of my favorite black metal is because of the message conveyed through the lyrics along with the music.

there are obvious exceptions... those being the bands that have decipherable vocals, although some of them are non-sense (rhapsody? power metal in general...)
My Dying Bride, Anathema, Shape of Despair (sometimes), Death, Agalloch (at times), Queensryche (couple of songs), Within Tears, Anaal Nathrakh (during the clean vocals) and more have pretty decent or awesome lyrics that enhance the music's raw emotion.

the only way you will find lyrics for that song will be either figure them out yourself or straight from gorgoroth. i know because i've been trying to find the lyrics for funeral procession and it's just not happening. as for the bitching...i can't stand it when people come to a bands forum just to knock the band. i figure i'll just have a little fun with them just to see how angry they get! it's pretty funny actually.

i absolutely disagree. i think lyrics are just as important to the whole. even if you can't understand them, i think they are still very important. its just that so many bands don't bother to take time with lyrics.
lyrics are cool i guess. suck writing them and singing while you play but some bands have cool shit to say. this does not include any sort of religious or political message. i hate that shit. spew propaganda on you're own time, home slice.
and in response to this original question, Gorgoroth refuses to publish their lyrics. they never have, and any you find are just interpretations. i guess they don't want people covering their music.
listen to Dissection, and then listen to Dissection while reading the lyrics. it adds an entirely new dimension to the music.

piece of shit puritan mtv scene robots. the whole reason of black metal is embodied in the lyrics. almost all of you are following commercialized genre's that you find on tv. whoever said that you listen to death metal for lyrics but not black metal has their shit all fucked up. no other genre has such a strong message as black metal. Hip-hop, rap, country, death metal (for the most part,) rock, etc. tell you about meaningless crap so they can make a buck. everything they talk about doesn't matter and supports people to follow other people and go with trends. i'd be interested to here what you have to say

This thread made me pop in the Black Mass Live in Krakow 2004 DVD tonight. Read the liner notes and noticed they had make-up girls for this show (bet they use them all the time though).. haha I wonder if Abbath also has a make-up girl apply his ''demon war paint''
