fuck yeah. i knew nothing about these guys, i had never heard any of their material, never read anything or seen any pictures, but i have heard they are good so i decided to check them out. i am assuming this is their latest album, and its fucking awesome. i love this sickly depraved black metal thats coming out lately, like the new Gorgoroth. the first track is so haunting, and it gives no sign of what the rest sounds like.

oh, so its not their latest. but regardless, its fucking nasty.

i had one of their cds... nothing fantastic but some good stuff in there.

Go and get "kenose", thats my fav. Also, check out this triple cd thing called "Crushing the holy trinity", it has a 20 minute exclusive song by them and its more in the vein of said amazing album. That album does rule however, as it shows them moving in a more original and twisted form. Their first recordings arent nearly as cool.

I also got "Si Momentvm Reqvires, Circvmspice" yesterday along with the new XASTHUR, URGEHAL, REGURGITATE and ARSIS.

Yes yes, a very good record for drugs of all sorts. however, i cant tell you how many times i have heard that record drugged/sober, as it is just too good for words.

I have been proclaiming DsO for quite some time now. I was actually somewhat offended for not having heard them sooner once I heard Kenose and then SMRC. They are fucking amazing. I like the older albums, but they're very different; much more "raw". "Inquisitors of Satan" is absolutely savage! If you like SMRC and Kenose, check out the "From the Entrails to the Dirt" comp - they have a track on their called "Mass Grave Aesthetics" which I think is their best song. The track on "Crushing the Holy Trinity" is really good, but not as good as "Mass Grave Aesthetics", in my not-so-humble opinion. Everything about this band is perfect. the cd has some good weird parts but it drags a lot of times

I think they are way over hyped

Ondskapt blows them away

i like deathspell omega a lot, but it does seem like they get a little too much credit. i like their releases but i'm not shitting my pants over them.
