This year I'm thankful that being a crazy, neocon, insensitive bitch isn't hereditary, because my grandmother is. Fucking joy.

My immediate family (parents/brother) and I all collectively hate our relatives so much that we just pretend they are dead and dont speak to any of them. I have no complaints.

Now there's an option to consider...

I like my relatives up here...the drunk Irish ones. The ones down South are OK until they see "a gay".

My family is my kids and my mother. Fuck the rest of them. I do not even acknowledge they exist and are disowned in my eyes. This goes for alot of old "friends" as well as most of them are either thieves or ego filled fucktards that do not deserve to be. The holidays do not change my perspective on the people I despise.

That sucks, I'm glad I have a cool family. Even the rednecks are nice to me, they're just republicans that can't even tell you why they're republicans. I have one aunt that I fucking despise, but the rest of the family does too so I don't have to deal with her. Lucked out.

I usually hide in my basement no matter what the occasion is. Being home alone, home with my family that lives here, gatherings, etc. My mom's side of the family has some good people. My dad's side of the family is basically a bunch of people I don't even really know and yet they keep buying me presents for some reason. Shitty presents. I wish people would save their money.

I hardly ever see my mom, so I feel obligated to go with her and my sister to my aunt's place each xmas. I hate it. I hate seeing everyone giving one another expensive, pointless gifts while they give my mom total shit and treat her even worse. They'll mock her right to her face and laugh when she tries to defend herself. I wish she'd just stop going, but she's the kind of person that will put up with it because "they're family". It's disgusting.

I would drop a bitch for fucking with my mom. Then again, my mom would probably do it first.

i don't have any serious problems with anyone in my family, thankfully. one of my aunts is a flake and i almost forget she's part of the family since no one's seen her in like 6 years. one of my uncles is like a republican party posterboy with terrible opinions and nothing to back it up, but he's the vice president of real estate investments for fidelity in boston so he gives good presents, hahahaha. he's a nice guy, but when you start talking about homosexuality, religion or any of those other topics you're not "supposed to" bring up, he's the most unbearable person to listen to.

Everyone in my family who is not descended from my grandparents are they most conservative Catholics, like the anti gay, anti abortion, anti everything kind, all my christmas gifts from them are religious hahah.
