Well, the top 5 metal post jerked me around, so I figured I'd make my own and see what kooky shit people on here are currently bumpin' uglies to.

Pour moi, c'est:

Paramore (female vocalist is so friggin cute, and I like her, she's my Pam-el-ah)
The Faceless (balls, balls, and more ballsy songwriting)
Panic! at the Disco (here come the beatings, I'm a year behind on this I guess)
Decapitated (Nihility made its way back around on iPod shuffle, and it was glorious)
The Police (gonna tour again, it's official)

honorable mention: Bloc Party (silent alarm is gorgeous, whatever)

have fun with this guys and gals, this board has been picking up since the current absence of the one we do not speak of...

I got tricked into buying that Sadis Euphoria CD at a Red Chord show. Man it isn't very ground breaking or heavy and the production is terrible. I want my money back. Worst part is, I was going to buy Fused Together in Revolving Doors but was told this would be better.

been listening to:
Polvo-Celebrate the New Dark Age, This Eclipse, & Today's Active Lifestyles (sort of like Sonic Youth but more experimental and guitar based)
Discordance Axis-JouHou (if you need a description you need a clue)
Rosetta-The Galilean Satellites (kinda like Isis...but not exactly)
Car Bomb-Centralia (Meshuggah, ALOL clone, but still fun and addictive)
Internal Suffering...awesomeness over and over again
Atheretic-Apocalyptic Nature Fury (brutal, technical, nature death metal from canada)
Elliot Brood-Ambassador (awesome country)

i think carbomb sounds more like a mixture of
Meshuggah, that one ed gein EP, and the dillinger EP with Mike Patton
its far too experimental to be put along the lines of ALOL

Yeah, I saw them a looooong time ago at a frathouse basement in Hanover NH.

toggletoggle post by atthehaunted  at Jan 18,2007 3:24pm
They could've been big if they came around a few yrs later. No doubt in my mind mixing metal with emocore

toggletoggle post by Troll at Jan 18,2007 3:38pm
Yep, I wasn't into that stuff at all when I saw them but I kept a opened mind (and 40oz) and watched them kick some ass. I was sold aftet that and bought there 7inch. This was in 95 or 96. I remember the singer was in tears cause he was screaming so hard (or getting really emo?!?!one or the other) anyways, the band was really tight aswell. They were definitely ahead of their time in that genre and they weren't pop at all.

Funny, I rarely hear anyone speak of them.
