Aggressive Punk/Metal Band Seeks Drummer


Aggressive punk/rock/metal band Mongrel is in search
of a new drummer. The current drummer is leaving in
April to pursue other interests and projects so we are
looking to begin auditions as soon as possible. We are
currently based in Nashua, NH and we play shows
primarily in the MA/NH area, though we also do play in
Philadelphia, NYC, RI, CT, and are going on tour this
month to OH, MI, IL, TN, WV, and NC.

Mongrel has opened for national acts such as The
Misfits, GWAR, OTEP, Michale Graves, The Exploited,
etc. We have had radio play on WAAF, WFNX, WBCN,
WHEB, WUML and steady media coverage in local press
such as The Hippopress, Nashua Telegraph, and the
Lowell Sun. National press has included Revolver Magazine,
Metal Edge, and Blabbermouth.

Applicants Must Be/Have:

age 21-35
reliable transportation
reliable way to be reached via phone/email/etc
your own gear suitable for playing 6-10 shows a month
responsible/dependable
willing to network and promote


Our favorite bands and influences are varied so it's
not necessary to like all of them but a few in common
is always good: Misfits, Guns N' Roses, old Metallica,
Black Flag, AMEN, The Doors, NIN, Stone Sour/Slipknot,
Marilyn Manson, The Bronx, The Residents, Pearl Jam,
Slayer, etc.

yeah this is not a board for a band like that I agree.
But I gotta say, THis is the hardest working band in Mass.
THey routinely play 3-4 times EVERY WEEK, and have been doing so for close to 3 years.
Yeah I cant say they're the most original or exciting band out there.
But, if a drummer wants to get A LOT of gigs right away and doesn't mind
playing 2nd rate punk, they should do it.

the mongrel dudes hooked us up with a show once and they were nice guys. their music ain't my thing, but they work hard and help other bands out, so i think they're cool.

Adam from Mongrel is really cool. Their music isn't my thing but they do work hard at what they do, and they never claim to be anybody that they are not. He definitely has balls to post on this forumn knowing he'll get bashed from here to next week.

I think they suck cause they are lacking soul (and I'm not talking about the Motown kind)
