Will someone please explain to me how to work this? It doesn't make any sense. And the help section doesn't help at all.

if you go to replace color and click on a certain color in the image you can change the hues, saturations and brightness to make that color a different color.
I use replace color in just about everything I do on photoshop.

Well, I wanted to replace black with red. And the way to select the color you want to replace confuses me. I only end up turning the black into gray when I get lucky.
Color replacer doesn't work best for all applications.

Just imagine that every logo except for August Spies was black. The way I ended up changing it to red was to "select color" in each layer and then pencil in the red.
