OF THE BETRAYED
IS SEEKING A NEW GUITARIST!

Guitarist Minh Son has decided to step down from his duties of 2nd guitarist to focus more time on being a full time father. We wish him luck with him and his family and we will always remember the good times we had with him being in the band. Thank you for everything Minh! Minh will finish up the last of our shows for June before he heads off to cambodia.

With that said. Of The Betrayed is now seeking a new guitarist! If you want to be in a band who loves metal, beer, meat, playing shows, having fun and being completely retarded then we're your band!

We have played with some amazing bands such as Cattle Decapitation (Metal Blade Records), Emmure (Victory Records), And Then There Were None (13 Star Records), End Time Illusion (Spare Change Records), & hundreds more!

Here are some of our requirements!
- Must be over the age of 18
- A minimum of 3 years experience
- Must have ability to do both rhythmn and lead
- Have professional or semi professional equipment
- Have a flexible schedule with ability to play numerous shows & pratice on weekends
- Must have a steady income to pitch in with band expenses (Band room, merch, gas for shows, etc...)
- Must have own transportation
- Experience in playing in front of crowds & have a great stage presence
- Must be open minded and willing to work with all forms of METAL
- This is a NO DRUG USE BAND! Don't apply if you do.
- Play in Standard D tuning
- and if you have a coversion van with a trailer we'll marry you.

Not many people use it that much really. Origionally we were Standard E which was weird because we were wicked heavy and whenever we'd play shows people would be so shocked to find out that we played Standard E. We decided to go a little heavier. Death is one of our biggest influences so we decided to try Standard D and loved it. It's heavy but it's also clean enough for amazing sounding solos I feel. Nice lows, good highs, over all I think it's a great tuning.

We're a bunch of losers, we just started writting songs in D standard. We're queer because the rest of our songs are in dropped C. Drop tuning is for steers and queers.

I definitely like it because of my influence from Death. I just think there's little point in tuning down ridiculously low.

DS has been tuning to D for at least 5 years. Not sure about before that. I dig.

I was pleasantly wrong.

I was also man. I had no idea this many bands played it, but who cares. It sounds good, and that's still only a handful of bands doing it in this world of bands that detune their guitars ridiculously low.

By the way, we're not gonna officially need a guitarist for another couple of months, and Minh will be staying in the band until the kid is born, which should be in November. So if anyone is going to be needing a band by then, let us know and we'll set something up.

D standard tuning is cool, its not too low like A# gives a nice punch.
at the gates tunes in B standard i believe or drop B i think its standard.

the_Network also represents the D tuning, although we usually play dumb chords to make everything minor.
