*this is a specific request*

I've been getting back into Earth lately. Specifically, the Hex album, the Hibernaculum redo's and i just bought the latest "bees made honey..."

Are there any other bands out there that play "clean" drone?

I dont care much for Sunn 0))) *dont want to start a mini war, i just dont care for them*

the dark dirty twangy tones, hypnotic themes, and ambient space is what keeps me hooked on Earth.

anything? or does Earth stand alone at the moment?

Though not exclusively clean (or even predominantly), much of Ocean's materal is clean and, in my opinion, not all that different from Hex.

shame on me for forgetting Maine's best band!

didnt the guys in Conifer have a side-project that might be similar? i remember they had a myspace for it and i listened to the clips, but, HELL, that was probably 2-3 years ago when i did

While not really doomy, necessarily. Grails comes to mind as a cleaner band with at least some drone influence.

the polish band Minas Morgul - The Wilderness Shrouded In Winds had a demo in '95 that was somewhat droney. good luck finding it, though.

I have a few of their records (I consider "Let Us Prey" to be their best) but I'm looking for something with far far less distorted/fuzzy guitars/bass. Think "clean".
