so, we are trying to figure out whether or not we can realistically get enough people to come to this show to make it worth booking it.

would anyone here go to a show that is in Salem, MA (probably feb 09....maybe march)
18 + .....cheap beer...... ten bucks to get in

featuring two stand-up comics (one to host the show, and roast the band between sets, the other to just do a solid 25-30 minutes.)

and a cover band that plays a mix of radio rock (to keep the drunk broads dancing and buying booze), and old school hard rock/heavy metal(ac/dc, maiden, kiss, sabbath).... and maybe a few heavier songs (obviously nothing extreme, but ya know...megadeth, metallica(80's or early 90's that is), pantera...shit like that)

does that sound interesting enough to attend to anyone here?

as long as you promote it well enough in that area it will do well. i know there are a lot of north shore/southern NH people on the board that may go to something like that but i sure as shit don't think i can make it up to salem for a show like that. if the band isn't asking for a lot and you can keep the door money to pay out people i don't see why it wouldn't work though.
