correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it only possible to move faster than light if the space-time continuum is distorted? I was always under the impression that light is the fastest constant speed, but there are other means of traveling than at a constant speed.
For example, black holes are so powerful, light can't even escape them. They distort space-time.

It's something to do with particles not being able to pass the speed of light. The faster something goes, the more mass it accumulates, the more force needed to get it moving faster. 99.999% speed of light is doable.
but these are radio WAVES, so I guess they can do that. They being SCIENCE. |

The whole thing is that the unit of velocity is meters per second. Since meters are a fixed unit of measurement, and the speed of light is a fixed unit of speed for a mass, if something were to go faster than the speed of light, seconds would have to change. That's the time-space distortion you're talking about Aril though I'm no expert in the field, so I could be wrong.
As for the speed of light being a constant... If two trains were going 200 mph each and they cross eachother, wouldn't each train perceive the other train to be going 400 mph. Apply the same principal to light. I don't know if I agree or disagree but it's something to think about.
Also, radio waves are light so I don't know how they made light go faster than the speed of light.
