i never realized till we went to record vocals just how easy it is to understand everything Tony is saying in our songs, looks like we might have to play a game of death metal mad libs before we play on the stress factor this week

Tony has that special gift of sounding completely brutal and guttural, while still being completely understood!
Every other time I've heard stuff from them it's been good so maybe we just got the crew on a bad day. *shrug* it was fun though.
it's a tiny little room... most people turn up too loud in there. we really made tom work on ours... you can hear him turning knobs through the first half of the set. Then it gets to an extended breakdown (or something less chaotic) and the sound gets awesome. the rest of the set sounds great.
be kind to the guy behind the board, consider the space, and you will get an awesome sounding recording.
the mix wasnt bad, i think they tweaked as we played through the first few songs cuz the last 3 or 4 tracks on the CD they gave us sounded a lot better than the first few.
