Not looking to do anything serious right now, just people to jam with, maybe record and play the occasional show here and there. I'm juggling between school and work among other things, which could prevent me from being able to practice on certain days. If you're not gonna chew my head off for this, then I already like you.

I'm 22 (almost 23). I have professional equipment, been playing 10 years, and have transportation. I live in Merrimack, NH, and would prefer something in the southern NH area or Northern MA area (Manchester, Lowell, etc.). I have a six string bass, and I like to use all six of those strings. I also have a four string bass, and like to use all four of those strings.

I'm not too picky about the style to play really, I'm just sick of playing to 14 year olds at Rocko's all the time. Preferably looking for something tech deathy, maybe the occasional slam, but I do not want songs to revolve around breakdowns. In fact, I would like to avoid having "core" listed anywhere in the genre of music I play. I like listening to that music, but can't stand playing it.

To hear some shit I've done, go to The Summoned's myspace (www.myspace.com/thesummoned) because I recorded the bass tracks on their full length, or watch some of their videos on youtube. I probably live too far south for you (I'll be moving to Mission Hill in January so even further) but I've been really wanting to start a metallized post-rock sort of band kind of like Ocoai combined with Alcest (who I don't actually listen to that much) combined with Gojira, if that makes any sense. Heavy and emotional LOL!

Brian, the only band I've heard that you just listed is Gojira and even then I haven't listened to much of them. Guess I'll have to check it out.
