New site? Maybe some day.
Never tried it, but now I want to. Other than the noble pils I'm a huge fan of just about everything Sam Adams makes. |
Sam Adams is deteriorating. Now that they have expanded their market i feel that the quality has gone downhill. |
NO tom, no. Avoid. Way WAY overpriced. What types of beer (porter, stout, etc.) do you like? I'll give you a couple good recommendations. |
hrm i was just gonna try it for the hell of it and bring it to a my girlfriend's friend's new years party as something of novelty. i'll take any suggestions for something similar if you have them? |
I had Sam Adams Triple Bock once. Pretty expensive stuff.
It was eggrorrs. |
i wish i could find a 6 or 12 pack of the chocolate boch. thats stuff is the dogs bollocks |
It's just a waste of $23 of whatever it is. The company Weihenstephaner (that Sam is brewing with) makes a Hefeweizen that costs $4.00 in 18 oz. bottle that is at LEAST as good as that overpriced drivel. They have it @ KJ Barros.
They have this at Austin's in Shrewsbury..... this was close to the best beer I've ever had. $12 bucks for single, $20 for a 4 pack.
If you like Chocolate Boch, this beer will fucking blow your mind. $8 pretty much anywhere that carries decent beer.
awesome i'll def check this stuff out. State or Austin liqours should carry it. thanks!! |
Just had some Dogfish Head Fort last night. Mmm mm |
Fort is good too. My favorite Dogfish is their Barleywine style ale - Olde School. Shit is BURSTING with flavor and 14% ABV. |
Anyone in the Worcester area should check out WineNation @ Millbury fuckville plaza. Best beer selection around, dare I say better than Julio's in Westborough even. |
All this stuff is OK for 1 or 2, but way too filling to pound. At the bar I drink Stella, and at home I drink Amstel Light (only in cans). I'm a drunk, I don't know how to "sip" a fine beer. |

go to route 1 in naw-wood. Bochnagar's unholy mausoleum of grog has 666 packs. |
fort is like 18%.
That bourbon county is good, too sweet for me. Alagash bourbon, BBC gud Gregs is better. |
Currently drinking Winter bourbon Cask Ale. really good shiot! |

whaaa? i have to see this place. at the Shoppes? i hate going there but i will for a selection like that. KJ's has an awesome selection as well. |
Southern Tier has a very VERY good Oatmeal Imperial Stout as well. It is strong and really really good. 11%, I believe.
Another awesome stout is Old Rasputin Russian Imperial. 4 Pack is like $12
For that really strong stout: Avery's Mephistopheles' Stout kicks arse and is extremely drinkable at 16% |

Your large hairy palms will sweat at the sight of their beer selection. I'd say it is 10 to 15 times more selection than KJ's. Really high quality stuff. I was talking to the guy in charge last time and apparently, he used to be in charge of Julio's beer section. Hence, the correlation. |

I heard Jim Koch describe what this is on WEEI like a week ago....totally not interested |
I <3 JULIOS.
Doesn't hurt that I live 5 minutes away either... |
