We've been doin this for a couple years now and I really think keys would fill out the sound best. We do mostly original songs with some covers to fill out setlists depending on the need. Songs are styled in the vein of Allman Bros, Skynyrd, Black Crowes etc etc. We practice in the Worcester Area and play mostly around here but have been gettin more gigs in Boston and hope to tour soon.
Requirements -
- Talent enough to not only pick up the songs quick but also add lead elements
- Age 21-30
- Transportation to practice/shows
- No hard drug problems (weeds ok, just don't bogart that joint my friend)
- Good working equipment
- Dont be a dick..or bro

I meet all the requirements except the last one. I love being a bro.
in all honestly, i'd boost the age up to 40-50. that generation has more keyboard players, only because the music they grew up listening to incorporated it more.
you're probably right but i'm gonna try this first and see if anything bites. the more desperate we get, the broader i'll widen the age range. we'd still prob give an older dude a try if he's that good.
Not that I know anything about keys or anything, but i'd recommend the player have a Nord Electro or Lead ... or any type of B3 or Rhodes synth emulation. You won't be carrying a real B3 from gig to gig.
