Don't mean to turn this into a news site but I want to know how you feel about this. Is it alright for a 10 year old to get ink? Should the mother be punished? If you're a parent, would you do the same with your kid?

if the child wants it, and the mother consents, there is no way that should be illegal. not to mention that he wanted a tattoo of his dead brothers name to honor him. i imagine it resulted in criminal charges because of all the blackness.

this reminds me of the thin line where DSS hurts more than it helps. i think for things as harmless as this, the parent has the final say and nobody else.

I agree with Yeti, if everyone has consent, it should be fine. My only pragmatic concern would be that this kid has a lot of growing to do, presumably, so what would happen to the tattoo image as he grew up? It would get a little stretched out/warped, would it not?
