I just got Photoshop anyone have any pointers or good sugestions as to how i can use this effiectivly to make show posters, shirt designs, and band logos?

basically...use the filters tab to do effects...u can download eye candy or flaming pear plug ins for more effects. image/liquify is pretty neat.
remeber to make new layers when you have multiple images. depends on your project.
I also suggest going to google and dling some free fonts. the basic window fonts get pretty boring. any ?'s lemme kno, or email me powerkok@gmail.com

rev, ctrl+z undoes, but alt+ctrl+z steps backwards cuz you can only undo once.
I have ps 6, so maybe its exclusive to that version only? I dunno.

on a mac it's like option control open apple Z or something crazy

the "step backwards" bit has to do with your history window. compared to "undo," 6 of one, half a dozen of the other.

*pointer* NEVER ERASE anything, always use a mask layer just in case you mess up or change your mind, you can "paint" the error back in.
