Last saturday whoever was working the door at the Block got his head smashed in with a padlock on a chain by the FSU because it was sold out and he wouldn't let them in.
I don't know who it was yet though, I will try to find out today.

The gang is all about heavy mosh parts and breakdowns and are a "crew" or a hardcore gang that listens to hardcore, supports hardcore bands, and goes to hardcore shows. They beat people up and protect their brotherhood.
To ensure the safety of their tribe, they do cool stuff like:
Beat up Moby and make a DVD about it
Elbow my friend in the groin while he stood at a show
Kick people in the throat at an Andrew WK show, especially short girls
Threaten to kill people
Shut down venues
and more!
Can someone give me some redeeming qualities of that "crew"? |

Daniel is the one whose favorite band is Abhorred. Bob Giroux is the other younger guy who does the door from time to time, but tends to come to the shows from time to time even if not working. He has a really short hairdo, red head I think. |

It is a real gang, at it's center. I called Bob (the booking guy) the other night about a show in November and he said he can write me down for it now but might have to cancel it but would give me enough notice if he did. I wonder if this attack had anything to do with it.
I remember when Bill's Bar got shutdown, I talked to the booking agents at the clubs I booked at and made sure they knew that our metal scene was in no way connected to the hardcore scene that always has fights and gets clubs shutdown. If the block stops doing metal shows I am not going to book anything else. |
