Palladium July 25Th Dvd Shoot. Tickets are $5 at tickets.com. Killswitch and as I lay dying. |
|
great, it's a monday, I'm out. |
|
Even if they paid me $5, that wouldn't cover my gas and parking. |
|
I thought Chimaira was doing the DVD there... |
|
just seen these rockstars at ozzfest, plus im going to btbam and redchord the next day, so i wont be there but thats cool of them to do a 5 dollar show, they always show their appreciation for new england. but holy shit are these guys way too fucking popular, i swear to god every 12 year old kid at ozzfest knew every kse lyric, the whole fuckin show, even the old stuff. i thought they were too big when they were headlining metalfest...but now its just rediculous, metalcore is the new numetal, its sad as fuck. |

KILLSWITCH ENGAGE
TO PERFORM AT THE WORCESTER PALLADIUM ON JULY 25TH
PERFORMANCE TO BE FILMED FOR FIRST EVER DVD
On July 25th, during a day off from headlining the Second Stage on
Ozzfest, Grammy nominees, Killswitch Engage will be playing a very
special show at the Worcester Palladium that will be filmed for their
first ever DVD. The Western MA quintet will be essentially playing to a
hometown crowd for this event and band members are excited to have this
particular show captured for posterity. "The show is going to be wicked
cool," comments guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz. "Come on down and get
immortalized in our DVD." With special guests As I Lay Dying and Once
Beloved, the show will have a low, ticket price of $5. The DVD will be
directed by Lex Halaby (Mudvayne, Chimaira) and will be released in
November 2005. Killswitch Engage is currently on Ozzfest supporting
their sophomore Roadrunner Records release, The End of Heartache.

Yeah, what a shame Nasty Habits got axed.
|
|
when i saw 'once beloved' i thought it was referring to the band that was once called 'beloved'. i miss beloved, they should play this instead. |

So what if all of a sudden Kevorkian's Angels got wicked popular and started headlining tours? Would they be whats wrong with music? And then would you be a stupid asshole? Seriously think about that for a moment. I know they have been reduced to mallcore recently because of the ever accessability of thier music. But I think if you got the opportunity to basically be a "rockstar" you would to. If not you are lying.
So they really aren't the ones wrong with music. It is everyone around them who markets them like they do. If you are going to point fingers, point them in the right direction |

They write/perform it, don't they? |
|
That is idiotic. 4 or 5 years ago a show like this might of been way more exceptable. Killswitch Engage was on the first Hellfest video with Vide Infra. The same video had performances from bands that are probably still very much revered by people on this board. The only thing different is what Jone's has been influencing on the band.
But your right we must chastise KsE for sticking with the music they started with.
Aftershock+Overcast=KsE
How many people still listen to Aftershock or Overcast? |
|
I still listen to Overcast...
and you forgot part of the equation:
Aftershock + Overcast + Blood Has Been Shed = KsE
if I wasn't going to be on my first week at my new job that day I'd go, KsE puts on a great live show. |
|
O SUURRREEE BRING UP BLOOD HAS BEEN SHED!!! |
|
yea all you are just little bitches and dont care for metal at all. Your just all jealous that kse owns and youll never get over it. Its 5 bucks, PAY FOR IT. They have it soo cheap so they get alot of people to go for the dvd. so fuck off assholes. |

there isnt a week that goes by that i dont listen to fight ambition to kill. |
|
what's the point of an as i lay dying/killswitch show? isn't that like seeing the same band twice? i liked killswitch's old stuff, but the new stuff started to go in an emo direction. i'd never go see them live again. adam d. is way too obnoxious and annoying onstage for me to enjoy their performance. |
|
No man. As I Lay Dying is a KsE ripoff. You have to give KsE credit. They spawned alot of sound alike bands. Which means they influenced alot of people. |
|
that's what i'm saying. as i lay dying is a ripoff of killswitch, so it would be like seeing the same band twice. |
|
Well you go see Killswitch......What the fuck is the problem with seeing that band for 5 bucks. I am pretty sure you have had your share of shitty bands before good ones. |
|
i missed that fuckin show, since it's already sold out, but saw Hell Within the 23rd and they absolutly tore shit up in Maine. drove from mass to see em, amazing shit. |
|
kevord likes killswitch engage and as i lay dying? all elitist credibility is hereby revoked |
|
wow, who would've thought ELITE UBER KULT CODEX OBSCURUM OLD SCHOOL DEATH METAL MASTER himself kevord was a total metalcore poser?
oh wait everyone already knew that |
