Erik Rutan of Hate Eternal Producing New Cannibal Corpse record
Erik Rutan (Hate Eternal, Morbid Angel, Ripping Corpse) has entered Mana
Studios in Tampa, Fl with Cannibal Corpse to produce their new album.
Rutan, frontman for colossal Death Metal outfit Hate Eternal, performs
his talents on both sides of the recording studio. Whether it be
recording for Hate Eternal, or producing the latest cutting edge elite
metal record, Rutan can pull out all the stops and bring out the best
metal has to offer. For those of you who haven't gotten an interview
with Erik since their latest record, "I, Monarch" was released or would
like to do another interview with Erik to speak about either Hate
Eternal or Erik's experience as a producer in the metal industry, he is
currently available for interviews. While he is limited for time, Erik
can get one interview per day at 11am EST for those looking to
accomodate those looking for phone interview time. Email interviews will
also be taken at this point in time. Tentative plans for a European tour
followed by another US tour are in the works for this winter as well.
The reviews for I, Monarch have been phenomenal to say the least. I,
Monarch is the latest crucial album in the history of extreme music.
Revolver: 4 STARS!! "I, Monarch is an unrelenting assemblage of
ridiculously fast blast beats, nonlinear arrangements, atonal guitars,
and hellish vocals."
Decibel: 9 out of 10, "I, Monarch is likely the most devastating
extremosity so far this year, outslaying even the new Nile."
Metal Maniacs (preface for an incredible 4 page interview) : "I, Monarch
is pure technical aggression and unequaled intensity given an extra kick
by a burning passion for extreme music and the fortitude of Rutan's
powerful character."
Brave Words, Broken Knuckles: "I, Monarch is a hyper-technical assault
on the senses that explores the blood-splattered nether regions of death
metal and grind and, at times, reaches avant-garde epiphanies."
Outburn: "...I, Monarch is for headbangers to bang their heads so hard
that they need a gallon of BenGay to soothe their neck after listening
to it."
Bass Guitar: "Out-of-control polyrhythms, syncopated vocal patterns that
build to a schizophrenic freak-out, Tibetan drums, a frickin didjeridoo
- and it actually works. "
Here's some praise on Erik's producing
Decibel: "...[Erik]'s also becoming the Scott Byrns of 'oos extreme
metal, having produced Soilent Green, Into the Moat, and numerous
subterranean beasts with indecipherable logos." |

I don't really care who produces it really, I just want a new cannibal album and a tour damn it. And for them to pull a Slayer and play all of "the bleeding" live. |
