With the XBOX 360 about to arrive, I was just thinking how miserably it's going to flop once PS3 comes out. It's pretty clear that it's a rushed system that offers little more than what the XBOX offered. The graphics, while improved, are not going to be as good as PS3. The games are going to be $60 for all the production that is put into them now, and they aren't going to sell.

PS3 has the modern library to sell the idea of a piece of shit saving a toilet in a game. I mean, every series they have will just dominate on the new system.

Nintendo is about to become the #2 in home systems again. REvoltuion is offering similar graphic capabilities to the PS3 and will offer a more innovative controller as well as backwards capability. It will outsell the XBOX 360 once people realize that the system really isn't that nex gen when it's got the other 2 right next to it. Thats just my opinion anyways

Halo 3 will do what Halo 2 did, boost game sales but not system sales. PS2 has been killing the Xbox for a long time because all the Xbox has is Halo, and that is nothing more than a modern Doom where you can jump.

The Xbox 360 hype has already died because there isn't much to look forward to, no good launch titles, no really amazing graphics leap from the first Xbox (unlike the Ps3 which is way ahead of both even now.). But yea, it's gonna have Halo 3.... someday...

PS2 killed because the PSone did so well and there are 41343244 games out for it already.

xbox will still remain at the top with the 360, despite the release of the PS3. The past 2-3 years has been dominated by Xbox and microsoft. Series like KOTOR(1 and 2) and releases like Halo(1 and 2) have both won game of year awards. With titles like king kong, perfect dark, PS3 is gonna have a long time trying to catch up. i personally think its a good move for microsoft.

now for the nintendo. i can honestly predict a fall or start to bankruptcy. the majority of there games are geered toward little kids, and most adults(who are the majority of game buyers) dont take nintendo serious. i mean come on, how many fucking gay, queer, mario games are out there?

As for no one buying Nintendo stuff, is that why they completely own the hand held market now where their main focus goes? And the majority of game buyers are the hardcore gamers who are gonna go where the innovation is, and innovation is in Nintendo.

XBOX never owned any market in any continent. Playstation is #1 Worldwide. It's dominated because it takes the ideas of CD player/DVD player capabilities and puts them in their system. XBOX put the same stuff in, only made it harder 'cause you HAD to go out and buy a controller for the DVD thing.

PS2 has a gazillion titles to it...and a lot of them are really good. They also have a nack for beating the competition when it comes to sharing games on other consoles. Take for instance the MEgaMan anthology. The PS2 version has more games and more extra stuff in it than the Nintendo one because Playstation makes agreements with the companies to have their version come out later but with more shit.

As for Nintendo going into backrupcy, I don't see it happening. The DS is way ahead of the PSP right now because it is more innovative, even if it isn't as up to date. In the next 10 years, if the Revolution doesn't sell like it should, you could see Nintendo go completely handheld. Then they'll be able to put all their console focus on the handhelds and become unstopable there for the next 20 years. On the other hand, Revolution's controller is innovative, the games will be solid (just think of the next gen Zelda/Mario games).

Which leads me to talk about Nintendo's games. True, they gear a lot of focus towards the younger audience, but they still put out top notch games for the adult gamer who grew up with Nintendo. When Windwaker first came out I was like great, way to bastardize the zelda series idiots. But I played it and it was great. It's sorta like...when you first listen to grind or death metal and you can't get past the vocals, but once you do you're totally into it. Same goes for Nintendo. Just gotta get past the cartoony graphics for some games to realize that they do put out quality material. Not to mention the next Zelda game is going to own, and Resident Evil 4 already did.

XBOX 360 does have some stuff going for it. But it's just too early for it. They didn't put the time or effort into the system the way Sony did. It's got inferior hardware, an inferior graphics engine, and it won't be able to hold up like the PS3 will be able to in 4 years. In 4 years the graphics on XBOX 360 won't be that greatly improved. PS3 right now is running on 25% of it's capability. Not to mention it's got everything the XBOX has and more. Next-gen belongs to Sony.

True, Sony owned the PS2 market with an inferior system, but it's because they put out the better games and thats what really sells. XBOX had a lot of smoke and mirrors going for them. They did have their hits though like Halo which will always sell. But then again, when was the last time you saw a first person shooter not do great?

Perfect Dark looks good, but it;s like...where the PC is now with graphics. Put that shit on the PS3 and watch what happens to it though.

If XBOX is relying on Halo 3, then I'm sorry they're just going down. Bill Gates does not head XBOX, he financially backs it. I'm sure he oversees production, but he has a staff take care of it for him. And he has nothing to do with anything that is developed by a non-Microsoft software company. All he can do is get agreements with other companies like that to make the games for his system. Which, also, he has other people take care of. He knows what he is doing, but competing with Sony is like trying to compete with Nintendo back in 1986

the thing I hate about PC games is the keyboard. I can't get the hang of it no matter how much I try. I prefer my controller. If they got organized and made one main UFC port controller then maybe I'd change my mind. I hate those online RPGs though...hate them. Then again, I hate almost all RPGs...

Also, wrestling games suck on PC and XBOX and those are the main reasons I'll even play video games nowadays

you can buy controllers for PC, but as far as FPS games go, PC keyboard/mouse beats controller's anyday.

PCs are lacking about 90% of the console games (though I've got just about every video/console game N64 and earlier on my PC anyway). Consoles are also lacking some of the PC Games.

I agree. I have a USB port controller but I just use it to play old SNES, Genesis, Master System, or NES games. I was never into anything atari, neo geo, or any of that nonsense. Sega CD sucked, Saturn sucked, Dreamcast was okay.

PC games definately have their place, they just aren't for me...sorry...:( </3

Sega Saturn and Dreamcast were both fucking excellent, they just couldn't succeed and so may not have had the high # of good quality games as their competition. I mean come on...Saturn Bomberman? Guardian Heroes? Panzer Dragoon Saga? Dragon Force? Shining Force III? All top notch games, and there were a good deal more. Dreamcast had VF3, Soul Calibur, Virtua Tennis, Gunbird 2, Power Stone, Marvel vs. Capcom I and II, Grandia II....

Sega CD barely had any games, but for what it did have, it had the original Lunar titles which were excellent, Snatcher (amazing game), Popful Mail and a few other classics.

I love PC games...the first two Thief games, Planescape: Torment, UT2004, and System Shock 2 are among my favorite games ever. I just don't have this bias for a particular platform like a lot of people seem to have.

Neo Geo was a ripoff, just play the ROM versions on your MAME emulator Atari 2600 was classic, the rest....blah. I did get a Jaguar recently from a friend, have yet to boot this up....hahah.

ps2 sucked, horrible games and graphics. Xbox ruled game wise and had awesome graphics with more HDTV support.

PS2 and XBOX are both great systems, which both have great games.

God of War, Ratchet & Clanks, and about 100 great RPGs....yeah, 'horrible' games.

XBOX did have awesome graphics, a more powerful processor, and more HDTV support. It also came out after the PS2. It also has awesome games...but not as many as PS2.

I just played an XBOX360 demo today and nearly shit myself. The graphics are better than my PC, and I have a half-decent PC.

xbox is also gonna have the next morrowind and everybody who knows anything about anything knows morrowind is better than real life{mine anyways}
