I liked Cold Lake, but it's definitely not the popular opinion. It seemed like they were doing a sort of pseudo-glam experiment, but it earned them lot of angst and cries of 'sellout'. Still, many of the riffs are pure Celtic Frost, the 'rap' intro is retarded. Had they done the same album without the glam pics, it would have done a lot better.

Regardless, they ditched the glam look for the next album so it's all history. I've heard that some of the revamped Cold Lake tunes sound a lot heavier now.

the question is, what crappy ass band are they going to have open?

Morbid Tales is still my favorite CF album, and I'm sure that's probably the popular opinion as well

I wasn't all that keen on Into the Pandemonium, maybe it was just when I heard it. To Mega Therion was a great album as well.

Into the Pandemonium was almost as freaky as Cold Lake, but had some amazing songs and was pretty much one of the bravest records ever. Also my favorite album cover from CF, not that it has any relevance.

The great thing about Celtic Frost is that they did their own thing. they always were pretty unique, just listen to Into the Pandemonium and you'll understand what I mean. The only time they did something that wasn't good was when they tried to follow musical trends.
