New site? Maybe some day.
do you think harsh ebm is more brutal than black/death metal? |
a lot of it is synchpop nowadays. |
not sure what EBM is but I know I;ve heard some really harsh noise coming from groups like Wolf Eyes and Prurient that fucking kills anything brutal |
prurient is f'n harsh stuff.
EBM= electric body music aka dance industrial. |
no...but some Industrial Gabba is...the drum machines can be cranked up faster than any metal drummer could ever humanly play |
check out Delta 9, Dj Skinhead..or Dj Tron |
I've been listening to delta 9 all week.
"PUT SOME MOXIE IN IT KID".
gabber can be good, or dhc, dsc... unfortunately, all the gabber shining stars went on to breaks. |
absolutley nay. most ebm is wicked fucking gay. death to poser "industrial" and anyone that buys into it. |
EBM is basically gothic-oriented synth-pop. Most bands I know who play in that genre do not even consider themselves 'industrial', and I used to room with an EBM dj who was also adamant about the distinction. As far as 'harsh' EBM? What bands exactly do you mean? Wumpscut?
I am just sick of the word brutal. Who cares. Just give me good songs. |

amen |
I got the new covenant in the mail the other day.
I have yet to toss it in, but I loved their thermin and europa cds |
I like some of the EBM stuff, but I like Duran Duran and the Pet Shop Boys. Do you like Imperative Reaction, rev? |
yesh, I saw them with VNV nation last year.
it was weird cause I would go into the crowd and it would be all fat goth guys dress like fat goth girls bouncing up and down |
also, the AC was busted in that place that night. so hot. |
What the fuck is "Harsh EBM?" |
my BMs are harsher than brutal death metal. |
harsh ebm like wumpscut is more darker and scarier than any extreme metal i ever heard |
More darker and scarier? Wow, that's dark and scary. |
well the synth replaces guitars and the vox sound blak metalish. Check out stuff like hocico, suicide commando, the retrosic, and amduscia |
most of that stuff you just mentioned is more industrial than ebm
also the question is stupid and generalizing
some industrial is more brutal than some metal
some metal is more brutal than some industrial
Yeah, have you ever heard Winterkalte? Pretty much more 'brutal' than metal. |
winterkalte rules. I love stuff like that and noisex, etc..
anything on this label: http://www.ant-zen.com/
is gold. |

yeha, and it was hotter when you were "dancing" with your co-worker. I put those pictures into my "special" collection. |
I'm not sure about brutal, but it certainly is more retarded. |
Dissecting Table anyone?
Dumbest topic ever |
EBM= Enormous Bowel Movement?? |
Is Dissecting Table EBM/Industrial?
Thought he was noise. |
Ha, I was at that VNV show, probably the only show I've ever danced at (and I'm sure that was ugly). And yeah, you can't gp wrong with Ant-Zen, their ambient stuff is pretty solid also!
I'll toss in a plug for The Industrial Factory, the show on before mine at WZBC. Brian's a great guy and the show is awesome, but sometimes it can go a little on the cheesy side. http://www.myspace.com/industrialfactory |
Where was that gig? Paradise? Can't recognize the venue from the shots.
I missed it. Too bad, I love Imperative Reaction. |
Damn...it must have been a long time since I've been there...used to go all the time. |
my very sucessful poll and i am currentlly listening to funky vogt |
"Harsh EBM" is for dudes who like broads to tapdance on their balls in high heels |
this thread, like ebm = vaginal pain |
