its too bad though, i was looking forward to seeing them.

Eh, I like their debut EP and album, but I'd rather the MDF was full of death metal-related stuff, especially obscure bands like Demilich. I've gotten to see BbtS before on several of their tours, and they can come around with pretty much anyone famous these days.

That band is awful.

Ryan: I have no idea, that's a pretty big band, a few albums on Relapse, a bunch of national tours, those are some big shoes to fill.

Evan: Hmm... You know, I heard about this one kid up in Arlington, MA...

Ryan: Oh yeah?

Evan: Yeah, he's in a pseudo poetic Screamo/Metalcore band that tries to market themselves as Grind and be a part of the Metal scene. They're called The Smell Of Gold or something equally righteous like that.

Ryan: Right on!

Evan: He's got a lot of great ideas for improving the scene, I've kept track of his posts on the Returntothepit.com message board and it really seems like he's got his finger on the pulse of the underground.

Ryan: So does he know anything about Death Metal and Grind?

Evan: Not a thing.

Ryan: Well, why don't you fire up that RTTP site and see if he's got any great suggestions as to how we can best fill out the lineup?

Evan: Yeah, there must be some terribly generic New England Death Metal band that tolerates his presence in the scene enough for him to recommend. Let me go log on and find out!

I spend most of time trying to figure out how to get your acceptance, Alex, as does everyone else on here. What you say is right or wrong is the final answer to everything.
