ours was created before we had even known any of the bands were on yet. it shall be updated soon enough.

flyer somewhat updated, not sure why C.D. is playing 2 days before this alone at the same place, and then playing this show.

shh Cattle D rules and can play just as much around here as they want. i mean theyre playing goodtimes, the kave, mark's twice and that club in everett. all in the span of a week, i think someone should adopt them so theyre forced to become and eastcoast band.
post by porphyria at May 22,2006 2:11pm
I'm not complaining, the idea that they are playing Mark's twice in 3 days just seems fishy.
post by W3 nli at May 22,2006 2:19pm
yeah there are other places, i mean sucks if any local bands are on it and gotta attempt to sell tickets when theyre playing a few days later with more great bands.
oh yeah do you have your 9string bass yet, i gotta see you play that fucking thing. ha

My 9-string won't be done till late summer or fall.......the wait is killing me already!!!
heh, why yes, this show is 18+, there are naked boobies there too. but i think you have to be 21 to see those. not 21?! no boobies for you. thats very upsetting :-(
no moshing either. or you are EJECTED. but that is okay, it will be a good time anyhow.

Where is Cattle Decapitation in this, Are they still on it??
Porphyria should be playing right before Cryptopsy
Agreed.
Todd, I have no clue why Cattle Decapitiation cancelled. Tom said something about their trigger brain shittin the bed at a show earlier this week. I was suprised when I saw they were scheduled twice in one week when we first persued the show.
post by anonymous at May 31,2006 12:35pm
Cattle decapitation knew nothing about saturday. Therefore it was the promoters fault for having them listed on their myspace sites.
post by Anthony nli at May 31,2006 12:39pm
besides NeverSayNever, Porph and IDN, who are the fuck are these other bands? Are they even metal bands? DM bands?
This is why it's retarded to have "sell tickets to play" schemes, because random ass band willing to be the club's bitch get on shows and it doesnt make any sense.
There are plenty of local DM bands that would be great opening for Cryptopsy that arent on this show.
I could care less if it were someone else, but I really wanted to see them. I will most likely check them out on friday in somerville, since hand choke neck/life at zero is playing thursday at millys.
there are too many good shows this week.

i havent even been to Mark's yet but from what I've heard and the lineups I've seen, I really don't like it.

It's a good time when the bands are mixed well and there is a hefty crowd. I could think of few other bands I would prefer to play with, but it seems like marks is trying to cross-pollinate between band followings. Example: The lighter fans will be scared by porphyria and porphyria fans will fall asleep or get pissed during everyone else... minus cryptopsy, of course.
Are the guys from Handchoke neck also in the band Rezinate?
Nope. Steve, is in both NeverSayNever and Hand Choke Neck. The rest of the HCN guys may be there drinking whiskey, but I haven't heard for sure. Jesse is coming back tonight from what I hear for tomorrows show.

i see your point, but it is also nice when a show's lineup makes sense and the bands fit well together. Booking a show should be more than just throwing bands together haphazardly. There's an art to everything. Joe/Notcommon understands this concept.

I have seen/played with Heretic Hybrid and Rezinate before and saw Change of Season at Spyder room. They won't be too out of place at this show. If each of these bands brings their regular following there should be a decent crowd. Especially if Rezinate brings the dover crowd.

"Vicious Circle is replacing Cattle on this date... i think they are a death metal band from Canada and the other two bands are from Manchester area... they sold like 70+ tickets....see you on Sat... "
post by Todd NLI at May 31,2006 6:09pm
I think Porphyria, NSN, IDN, and Cryptopsy should play back to back, So I don't have to sit through all the other bands
post by Todd NLI at May 31,2006 6:11pm
I wanted to see Cattle Decapitation wicked bad
post by W3 nli at May 31,2006 6:15pm
wow the fact that in dire need and porphyria are opening this show just made this show a joke.
worst line up ever, both of those bands should be going on right before the headliner
I'll be there but I don't think anyone else will be. I have a feeling there will be a whole lot of nothing going on due to bad placement of bands. And if Porphyria is really playing that much earlier then Cryptopsy well that just sucks.

wow thanks man, that is nice of you to say
no problem, you just seem to put together lineups that make sense and you get a lot of killer out of area bands to play around here. Cant wait until Sept. when I'm 21 so I can hit up the shows at OBs. I'm still really bummed I couldnt go to the Dysrythmia/Behold show.
post by anonymous at Jun 4,2006 6:05pm
joe not common is a fat fukin idiot that wouldnt know a good band if they all jerked off in his face. the only things he understands is the male genitalia.
i would have to admit if there was on place in this world where this odd show fit it was Mark's showplace there is nothing wrong to go see the stripers during the bands that you have no interest in

People need to politely e-mail/message New England Concerts and/or Bernie about the TNT security issue. Show-goers are already starting to boycott Mark's Show Place because of the nazi-like security. Kids can't even stand in their own space and headbang without either being kicked out or closely watched. Before you know it these shows will dwindle down in attendance because of the bad rep. There's a huge difference between kicking people for fighting inside the club and someone who's just trying to have a good time.
I only saw one incident and it looked like someone fell on the ground. TNT did allow a little more than usual, so there was a little flailing and stomping around. No one was hit, though a few people almost caught a fist in the back of the head.

I went to the show expecting to see Cattle Decapitation but Zircon took their place. I was very impressed to see them pull off a tough slot like that. Zircon did a little mini tour with Cryptopsy. Those guy's deserved a good hook up like that.
post by Scott from Zircon at Jun 8,2006 4:43pm
We got lucky on this one. We had to do this show as a 3 piece but we pulled it off.
