ok so i'm going to chicago to shoot lollapalooza

flight was cheap but all the hotels are sold out except for ones not within walking distance and 350$ a night walking distance ones

good thing is that the chicago transportation system rules...

anyhow can someone suggest any good areas to look for hotels that are close to the subway?

i might have to walk a bit and given all the $$$ I'll be carrying on my back in equipment going back to the hotel every night...well i want it to be a decent area..

well i don't know anything about chicago but I recomend the firestar, from star firearms of spain. This is a subcompact 9 millimeter that fits nicely into the hand and is easily concealed.





as for the hotel, well I can't help you there.

raise the red lantern are from chicago. they leave their apt unlocked. they have no hot water or power. you could stay there. hahaha.

i really wish someone knew the area...i keep going back and forth on hotels not right in the city and I want to make sure I choose correctly

Evanston is the area around Northwestern University...at least mildy sure that it's a good area. Give it a shot.

I was born in Illinois, but not the Chicago area, the Springfield area...but I'm sure I could ask around with relatives if that doesn't appeal to you.

slightly closer than Evanston is Lincolnwood.

and good idea on doing the search "hotels near subway"

i spent MANY hours searching and seriously, everything reasonably priced in the city is sold out. i'll be staying by o' hare need a place with internet!
it's a 25 minute subway ride not bad
now i gotta book it!
those combo hotel and airfare are a lot cheaper for some nice hotesl!
