Get rid of the caps lock key? Dumbest idea I've heard all week. It's a fine idea if all you do is write comments into peoples' fucking livejournals. Surprisingly, though, there are other uses for keyboards.
i have never once in the history of me using computer actually touched the scroll lock key for any purpose. caps lock key actually does something if you want to type out a title in all caps or something.....really beats holding down the shift key.
Maybe there should just be a maximum number of capital letters that are allowed to be typed. Then if someone types up a rant of 12 paragraphs with no punctuation and all caps...their computer will sprout rockets and launch itself out of their house burning everything behind it.

we are americans right we are all about making life easier the cap lock key does it...
people in other places are jelous of how lazy we can be and get away with it.
