naw, not yet. we played decapitated last friday and supported the seacoast metal fest at dover elks saturday and sunday.
tonight we play some italian restaurant called Cartellis in dover. by promoting tonight and with the hype of a new venue in the area, should make for a good crowd.
this show is full, but there are other thursdays open. best bet is to get in touch with Phat Bastard. Haven't played there yet, but when I rode by Friday it looked realllly STERILE for a metal show. Rex (Brickhouse) is also looking for wednesday nights.
hey anthony, make a show at o'briens with revocation, nsn, and a couple other bands. nsn have to get out of NH at some point.
Yes I have been planning on that. I am looking into an all ages venue right now that I would prefer to do more booking at and shift away from O'Brien's. If that doesn't pan out, I'll probably get a couple OB's dates for the end of year/beginning of next year.
hell yeah! the in-your-face promotion starts tonight for next week.

Aight, so i met the owner and checked the place out tonight. Totally sterile. Oxygen bar. Hot chicks with $1 shot tubes. Stage is decent size. Definately larger than the brickhouse. It's got laser beams.
I'll know more tomorrow when the metal crowd shows up for the first dirty thursdays metal night...dont get discouraged just yet.
Door count was 130 around 10:30pm tonight. It's most packed i've seen a dover bar. wait for a beer. wait for the bathroom. too bad i only printed 60 flyers... fuck!
Show started late due to setting up PA equipment late, but I was assured they would work the bugs out and have everything set by next week for a 9pm start. I gotta say, not bad for their first 'metal' show.

Have you ever thought of putting up a secondary camera and setting it to take a picture every minute for an entire show? There is a DJ booth next to the stage you might be able to angle something.
well, we appreciate it. at least you get to check out the layout and the LASER BEAMS. Plus, we got some tricks up our sleeve.

fuckin lovewhip! Phil and I saw them at the JP Wake up the Earth festival like 4 summers ago. Man did they suck. What assholes for playing music that bad.
revocation: alright, I obviously didn't have my earplug in all the way during their set cause one of my ears is ringing. before they started off their set, I was talking to them and then dave was left telling older ladies not to get their panties in a bunch. it seems that those ladies were also in for a surprise cause once revocation went on, they ceased being the phil fan club and made haste for the door. from where I was standing, I could see every little spray of spit from dave's mouth. those side lights are horribly placed. they also thro of the whole "super green" motif of the room. they played as good as usualy, but the sounds a little wacky in that room. the left Pa sounds good the right PA sounds good, but the right one is like 20 feet back into the rest of the club. if you don't stand right next to the left speaker, you don't really hear a good mix cause you are just getting it off the monitors. at some point, while phil was sliding off the drum riser, jim (mcmahan) jumped up and surprised everyone by singing with the band. he knocked off one song and it sounded better than you would have expected.
this club is ULTRA trendy. we're talking oxygen bar trendy. it's weird. I'lltake a picture of the oxygen bar when I get a chance.
thanks to everyone for coming out. sorry the door wasn't more for the bands coming up from MA, but there's something about that place that was unsettling... we have some issues to work out before we setup/play a show there again.
frozen: they sounded just as hi-power and tight as they always. There weren't too many prople there to see them which sucked. After a few changes of lyrics to "mojitos, mojitos, mojitos", they played the van halen cover and I figured that at that point they would have had all sorts of drunk girls jumping up to sing along with their cover. For some reason that didn't happen. Lame. these guys are all excellent musicians and it allows them to "have fun" while they are playing by switching up and changing things while keeping in step with each other, keeping the song basically unchanged, and not missing a beat.
Cooool, i'm thinkin last night is the most extreme mojitos will go. If only they had cheaper beers, less attitude, and catered more towards the bands. Absolutely no reason bands should have access to only bottled water they have to pay for, right? What is this, ozzfest? I'm still all fired up.
I don't think anyone besides fletcher did. there was an oxygen bar in portsmouth for a month...
NeverSayNever: even though "their crowd" didn't rear its ugly head tonight, they still played as hi-engery as usual. True to their words, they had surprises. At one point, a black guy got up on stage. He was dressed up like bill cosby or something, but with out knowing the words, he screamed along with them. It was pretty funny and you saw jim laughing whle he was suppose to be screaming. When that song was done, I thought the dude would probably not get off the stage, but he wasn't drunk enough I guess. At the end al awol and caitlyn got up on stage and screamed. If I remember correctly, it was about living free and dying.
