New site? Maybe some day.

i would love to see our money and motto "de-goded" but it will never happen. whenever the issue is brought up, the same response is given. "god is meant to represent all deities", apparently living together in some harmonious bliss. |
|
thats why there's monopoly money. god-free all the way! unless the monopoly guy is a god ..in which case we're all screwed. |
|
why throw your trust at God when there's so many admirable, god-like political figures all around us....
shit |

That woman is an alien. Trying to take over Earth.
AND...De-Godding money is fucking stupid. I can see the thought bubble over everyone's head that supports this moronic act.
*poof* "Let's shit on the beliefs of millions of people so that we can have our beliefs trample on theirs!!" "Our beliefs are paramount to theirs!!"
Just like Christianity and the Crusades.....you're no better. You are simply shitting on someone else's beliefs so that yours may reign supreme. |
|
I did that in high school once. I crossed out "God" and wrote a bunch of other things like, "Satan", "Allah", "Metal", "Beer", etc. |
|
I could see crossing off the whole saying or even whiting it out as being a logical statement in favor of equalism, but like Hoser said, the red slash over God is demeaning to other people. You can't create equalism by counter-offending. |
|
why not just do the most rational thing and worship an inanimate carbon rod instead.
IN ROD WE TRUST. |
|
yeah i'm not about to start crossing god off of things, i would just like to see god removed from all aspects of life that it doesnt belong in. ie. on money. |
|
stupid, doesn't bother me. Who sits there and looks at money? |

LOL.
I agree with the de-God'ing of everything involving America but it will never happen. Ever. |
|
honestly, i don't give a shit. so our money has god on it. i don't care. i just use it to buy things, and whether it says god or not, all i care is that it can still be exchanged for goods and services. there are much more important issues facing the country right now. |

Just another proof of your complete dipshit attitude - by crossing out god, it's making a statement that god does not belong on a currency that represents a group of people that may/may not believe in god. It in no way actually disparages the religion. Now, if the person had also wrote "god sux, satan rulz", then I'd see your point, however, here it just appears we have another case of you being against "stupid ignorant hippy liberals". Way to be. |

I totally agree with you. I don't think that the word "God" belongs on our money because it implies that the government endorses any of the religions that believe in "God" while excluding all others. There are plenty of religions that don't involve the word "God" at all, and there are plenty of people who don't subscribe to any religion. |

"Separation of Church (God)and State (Money)"
- I believe it says that somewhere in the Constitution of the United States |
|
in a couple years cash will be worthless anyway. I only actually use cash (ie. "paper" money) for a fraction of my purchases. Right now everything is online and practically everyone has a bank account. As soon as something easier and faster than credit cards come out most people will stop using cash. |
