Reverend doesn't like music.

toggletoggle post by Kevord  at Jan 23,2007 8:36pm
Not enough sick mosh for the Rev.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 23,2007 8:51pm
not a good enough band for me to like them. sorry. I also hate SJR.

toggletoggle post by sinistas   at Jan 23,2007 8:54pm
that's implying that people DO like SJR

toggletoggle post by xanonymousx at Jan 23,2007 8:58pm
this is phil from pantera? or is that super joint ritual?

toggletoggle post by Kevord  at Jan 23,2007 8:59pm
Super Joint Ritual is gayer than Six feet Under and that's pretty gay.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 23,2007 9:09pm
SJR and down are the same band.

toggletoggle post by sinistas   at Jan 23,2007 9:11pm
Ugh. No. Down is good, SJR is horrible.

thats not what this guy was saying on the metal fest 2003 dvd.... but yet he looks like he's on crack.

Only people on crack like SFU and SJR.

toggletoggle post by succubus  at Jan 23,2007 9:23pm
do i get scene points for having pics of a band when aaron hasn't shot them?

HAHA

crappy and from 2002 but still

did down do the cover of big black?

toggletoggle post by w3 nli at Jan 23,2007 11:03pm

SJR is extremely gay, but nothing is gayer than SFU

toggletoggle post by GoatCatalyst   at Jan 24,2007 1:07am
i'll likely go to the roseland show

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Jan 24,2007 10:39am
SJR had some ok songs on "Use Once and Destroy", which i also felt was an incredibly fitting description of the band. A Lethal Dose of American Hatred was fucking awful.

toggletoggle post by Granny_Monster at Jan 24,2007 10:43am
Down > SJR

and I'll probably be at the Palladium show.

I agree with that... although I do like some stuff on Use Once and Destroy. Overall though Down is a far better project. This should be a good fuckin show.

toggletoggle post by Anthony nli at Jan 24,2007 11:06am
Superjoint Ritual is the shit but not even remotely close to the fucking genius that is DOWN.

toggletoggle post by HailAtWork at Jan 24,2007 11:07am

toggletoggle post by KillerKadoogan   at Jan 24,2007 11:08am
we should have a big gay RTTP orgy in Aaron's name at this show

toggletoggle post by JDDomination   at Jan 24,2007 11:19am
Superjoint is good as long as you keep in mind that these guys are a bunch of fuckin stoned hicks who only listen to Sabbath, Rancid, and members of their own families(HankIII's father is Hank Williams Jr. and his grandpapy is Hank Williams Sr.).

toggletoggle post by KillerKadoogan   at Jan 24,2007 11:27am
rancid?! SJR tends to ride Righteous Pigs' nuts more than anything else, but I do indeed enjoy them.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 24,2007 11:28am
reporting from the show..

toggletoggle post by KillerKadoogan   at Jan 24,2007 11:28am
also, Hank JR. is a douche.

therefore, it's my belief that Hank III's son (assuming he has one) will be a douche, but his son's son will make good tunes.

Every other generation of Williamseseseses will make good tunes. End of thesis.

toggletoggle post by KillerKadoogan   at Jan 24,2007 11:29am
I could sleep comfortably in that guy's belly button.

i'd go see down...i definitely like them more than sjr

sjr had a raw sound to them but the songs in general were just kinda boring like a black label society cd

down on the other hand had some good grooves and catchy tunes

My only beef with this show is that it's really tough to get high at the palladium. Hopefully they open up the balcony.

Seriously badass, although I'd rather catch them on that tour where they and Megadeth are opening for Heaven & Hell (God damn do I wish that were coming to the US and not just Canada)

the balcony is even tough now, because they have those meathead security guards stand at the bottom looking up and just scanning the crowd the whole time. i was able to pull it off at the last Dimmu show there, but it was hardly worth it because i was spending the whole time waiting for them to turn around or look the other way. i plan to go to this, and i live no more than a 10 minute walk up the street, so if it comes down to it, people are more than welcome to come to my apartment to smoke it up before hand. we have a massive 5 gallon water bottle bong.

I thought Crowbar played the Palladium last year or the year before... or maybe that was COC.

I just listen to these dudes for the first time, I had not listen to them before and now I know why... I cannot stand phil anselmo's voice.

they very well could have, but I know the closest they've come to MA lately(to my knowledge) was that show with Hatebreed in CT.

toggletoggle post by niflheim at Jan 25,2007 4:15pm
The last Crowbar album was a disappointment, considering how devastating Sonic Excess... was. I'm all about seeing Down again. People can bash Phil, whatever, Down still released Nola, which is full of amazing riffs.

toggletoggle post by FuckIsMySignature at Jan 25,2007 4:52pm
whatever happened to that Crowbar/Hatebreed collabration?? I think was called Crowbreed or Crown of ..something.

KIingdom of sorrow. I think it's coming out later this year.

toggletoggle post by HailAtWork at Jan 25,2007 5:20pm
Crowbar only came as far as CT the last few years, haven't seen them in MA since like '94 with Pantera in Fitchburg...C.O.C. was at the Palladium awhile back.

toggletoggle post by Kevord  at Jan 25,2007 5:25pm edited Jan 25,2007 6:56pm
Crowbar played at the Middle East with Eyehategod and Soilent Green around 2000. Then they played with S.O.D. at the Middle East In I think 2001. My years could be screwed up. But those were the two times I saw them.

toggletoggle post by CNV at Jan 25,2007 6:46pm

Eyehategod at Great Scott in 2005 was a sick show.

I'd put my money on either someone terrible, or no one like the last couple of tours.

I didn't really like that. Both times I didn't have time to meet up with the people I was meeting, barely got a beer by the time they went on. I kind of like the shitty opening band time...builds your anticipation.

Hank III is opening

toggletoggle post by Kevord  at Jan 27,2007 2:27pm
