I still need to get my hands on the first one... and something to play it on. It's the top game I have in mind for when I finally go ahead and get a used PS2.

How do you think this one will measure up?

i dont know, because God of War is the greatest game ever. i've read a few reviews and they say it blows the first one out of the water, so i'm anticipating dying at the end of it from sensory overload. i've never had more fun playing a video game, it was so fucking difficult but not that annoying difficulty that seems hopeless, it was just hard to master everything. i reserved a copy because it was like 6 months after the release of the first one when i could finally find a copy. i'm assuming this one wont be available to rent or buy after its release until like 2015.

i played a demo its just the first game with a couple new moves, looks fun but like the first one will probably be way to easy

easily the best PS2 game that's been released. I can't wait 11 more days, I want the game now so bad. I've gotta beat the first game again before the new one to refresh my mind on game play and the story.

devil may cry is where it was at for action on the PS2 Dante was so much better then Kratos

I rented God of War a few times, never got around to buying it.Now that #2 is coming out, #1 should be affordable. I am always way behind on games, Because I wait for them to come down in price. They all eventually end up in the ps2 greatest hits collection @ $20 a piece. I tend to buy more music than games anyway.

yeah my friend had preordered it and went to pick it up last night and he said it is awesome. He said he didn't get to go too far into it, but he was fighting the giant monster and poked its eye out and then the monster picked him up and threw him...and he wound up someplace else and had to fight his way back...

i have it, but i havent started it yet. i'm waiting for a hungover 9 AM on Saturday to sit for 8 hours and play it.

I've heard alot of good things about God of War. It's only $20.00 now because it's part of the Greatest hits collection. Another best buy for the greatest hits collection would be Resident Evil 4. Such an amazing game.

Its fun for a hack and slash, still feel its much over rated all around its just some easy button mashing fun

haha you havnt played many games then huh, its a serious rip off of devil may cry which is a far better game and you just hit square dont be fooled by the cool blood and gore after that there is no depth

DMC2 sucked. DMC3 was way too hard. I think GOW recaptures the essence of DMC1.

medusa was hard until I realized that you could hit her when she got on the pillar. I thought that you could only throw her missles back at her. once I figured that out it was cake.

really i did it the opposite way and once i remembered throwing the shit back at her i destroyed her, see im playing this one on hard cause the last game was too easy thats the problem with games there to easy thats why Gaiden and DMC3 where great you had a challenge

It seems like blood is a lot harder to find too. my weapons aren't even to the point that they were at when the game started.

I got near the end of DMC2 and the ps2 lost my game. lame. DMC3 was difficult to the point that I put it down and went on to lego starwars.

i've got about 10 hours of game play in this, i'm inside the titan now. this is by far the best game ever, its the most fun i've ever had playing a game. i like how the bosses arent insanely difficult, but it does take time to understand the patterns. the secondary weapons are insane, i love that barbarian hammer. best game ever.

yes. you must play the first, first. i found one glich, when i was fighting Typhon and delivered the final blow and got "Typhon's Bane", the screen fucked up and didnt show the extraction from Typhon's eye.

I'm running around atlas now (and jumping into what appear to be giant fiery vaginas) and when I was R1 swinging around, the R1 would randomly let go.
then I would get stuck on a ledge between falling, icarus wings and grabbing on.

hmm...i didnt have any issues like that. i am through with Atlas, i am now at the beginning of the Sisters of Fate temple.

it will be exclusive the game is made by sony, so i dont see how anyone else would get the rights to it unless PS3 fails and the ending did kinda blow, most games just end now setting up for sequels. They need to stop worrying about that and add more gameplay time games are so short
