Man, I'm on a wicked Skynyrd kick lately.

"Simple Man" has got to have some of the most beautiful lyrics ever. I fucking love this band. When I was a kid, my Dad used to blast this every Sunday morning (his only day off.)

Man....life is so fucking awesome. I get massive euphoria when I hear Skynyrd.

Anyway.....I've rambled on long enough...back to m' whiskey.

By the way.....Patrick David DeWire is due in 2 weeks. My wife is getting contractions and the time is nay'.

My neighbor is always cranking it out of his truck window when I pass him in the morning.....on our dirt road....as deer run across it....and i stare at the empty Bud can teetering helplessly on the bank of a gushing river waiting to swallow it up.

i like a lot of Lynyrd Skynyrd's work, but i am so fucking sick of the stuff they play on the radio. Free Bird and Sweet Home Alabama make me nauseous now. though i cant deny "Gimme Three Steps", that song is awesome.
