I've yet to hear a Deicide song that didn't suck...

their best since "Once Upon the Cross"....

When I first got into Deicide 11 years ago (legion era) they had a true evil prescense... Being that I lived in the same town they did for 5 months I understand why...Hopefully they bring it back...

this is actually pretty decent. i still yearn for "Once Upon The Cross" esque material though. im not liking this "hardcore" open triplet stuff but trhe rest of the song is bad ass.

decent song. seems to be the trend with good death/thrash metal bands nowadays to have like, one awesome song on their new album, but have it contain some lame chugga-chugga bullshit as well. look at slayer's latest album. deciple is like, the best song on that album, minus the chugga-chugga. good effort by deicide tho. much better then serpents of the light...man that album is bad...

Serpents of the Light was one of the most boring, repetitive and thoroughly crappy CDs I've ever heard. I even tried to like it but it was just too damn awful. SotL's exactly why I can't stand Deicide at all.

i definately see what u guys mean about Serpents, way too repetetive. i think mostly it's because all songs are in the same key, so every song sounds like every other, just played slightly different.

The first five songs so exactly alike to me with occasional slightly different lryics, aka the choruses.

I like the new Deicide it sounds much better than the last couple albums they did.

They just need to stop. They have really sucked after "Once Upon The Cross". "Serpents" is probably the biggest let down of an album ever. I love the first three records, and the Amon tapes. Awesome death metal. This new song sucks, just like I was expecting.

live they were awesome... cause I knew all their songs.
but they are pretty repeditive and if you don't know the lyrics most cds sound the same
