My friends sister wants her comp reinstalled but doesnt want ubuntu... so whatever ill put XP on it but I was wondering if there was a method you guys used to make it secure like linux. As in can you make the root user secure? Can you do other shit? I was hoping for some commands more than software but I'll take either for a spyware proof xp(if its possible). A quick solution would be best. Or if you have a link to a guide google searches all tell me to put mcaffe and other spyware apps.

I disable all other accounts, ditch the default administrative shares, turn off drive sharing as well as ALL unneeded system services. There's a bunch of other stuff I usually follow on a checklist I made but I don't have it with me at the moment.
