those of you who have been to loon mountain, how strict are the tickets enforced?
i know at sunnapee you pretty much dont even need a ticket, they almost never check
just wondering because im headin there saturday

I was at loon on new years. It was packed so people were barely checking tickets at all. I think out of like 10 times up they looked once.

If you hike up to the Camp III Lodge or get on the quad without a ticket and stick to the east basin/north peak you can ski all day without a pass.

we used to buy one ticket and color copy it at a Kinkos or something onto sticker paper and ride for the price of one ticket...

last time I was there, I got "caught" on my 3rd run after taking my jacket off.

cause my ticket was on my jacket.

I went riding out west once and they had scanners and scanned our ticket bar code almost every time...it was gayness.....except for the fact that the mountain kicked ass and there was like 4ft of insane powder..

I've gotten my balls busted more than a few times at Loon. It kind of depends on when you go I think. Sometimes I've been able to ride all day with no hassle, others I don't even get on the lift once.

I want to snowboard so bad this winter but I just got a call about a job opportunity yesterday where if I break any bones or get injured over the next 6 months, I will likely not get the job....Just like the conclusion I came to about this past years hunting season I missed, there's always next year...

Yeah Matty, Wildcat is a fucking gnarly mountain for the east coast!

Cannon has Mittersill, which is awesome.

Sure as hell is and cold as fuck! Faces the north and the ruthless Canadian winds. I've never experienced shit snow conditions there.

I can't ski anymore. they refuse to service my skis and I'm not blowing $900 on new everything. I'm also not big on blowing out a knee when my binding don't pop.
