Vegan and vegetarian dancers have flocked to Casa Diablo for auditions since hearing of the new club. Basically, this was a pirate-themed vegan joint that went bust. Because when I think of pirates, I think of spring rolls. So they decided to turn it into a strip club so they could actually make money. I have a feeling the 'dancers' will not be vegan.

I remember going to Max's II one time on my lunch break (I was fixing the treadmill at the Boston Globe facility), and getting a sandwich. It was a total mom sandwich - the probably-a-stripper bartender chick hauls out a loaf of bread from the store and cold cuts in a Tupperware container, slaps me together a turkey sandwich, and I go and eat it at the stage with some random shaking her downstairs parts a foot or two over my plate. Kinda surreal.
