THE ACACIA STRAIN posts pre-production song, announces recording schedule

Massachusetts’ THE ACACIA STRAIN have posted a pre-production song entitled “Dr. Doom” from the band’s forthcoming record ‘Continent’ on the band’s MySpace page ( http://www.myspace.com/theacaciastrain ). Currently scheduled for release later this year, the band will head into the studio April 13 with producer Zeuss (Hatebreed, Shadows Fall, Municipal Waste) at Planet Z studio. Pre-production for ‘Continent’ has been completed and THE ACACIA STRAIN has again tapped artist Paul Romano (Mastodon, The Red Chord, Trivium), who handled the artwork for the band’s previous release, ‘The Dead Walk,’ which saw a June 2006 release via Prosthetic Records.

Having just played a handful of Canadian shows in March as well as completing a successful headlining tour with Despised Icon, Full Blown Chaos, and The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza in November and December of 2007, THE ACACIA STRAIN will again embark on a headlining tour this summer. Details, support bands and confirmed dates will be announced shortly. In addition, the band will play a hometown show April 26 in Worcester, Mass. as part of the 10th annual New England Metal and Hardcore Festival.

step 1: buy really good equipment.
step 2: tune to negative R#
step 3: play open negative R# palm muted triplets a lot
step 4: yell about persevering over something that is bringing you down or fighting people/stuff over the triplets
step 5: watch your bank account grow slightly

you guys are so ignorant. really. grow up.

it goes like this:
step 1: Goto Newbury comics and buy used Unearth and Shadows Fall cds
step 2: Goto the baystaterock.com messageboard and see if someone can tab the songs out for you
step 3: Take the most recognizable riffs and put them together calling it your own song, so anyone who was listening to music for longer than 2 years will know where you got every single riff from.
step 4: Complain about how you hate hardcore kids, and then pander to them.
step 5: Wait for Jagermeister to call with your tour details.

This song is actually better than anything on their last two cd's so kudos to them. And yes, I'm sure when this drops it will be playing on my ipod at the gym.
