New site? Maybe some day.

I brought it in cause when I was working out, it paused non-stop. they took it and are sending me another 60gb refurb. sucks. I thought I was got to get a nice new 160GB out of the deal not someone else's trash. |

HAHAHAHA
Top RichHorror post of the month. |

I did the same fucking thing. I raged soooo hard. |
I still haven't filled it though, so fuck it. |
my stuff still wouldn't fit on the 80 gig, but it would have been nice to at least have the better one. |

me too. the piece of shit refuses to stay charged after only ONE YEAR. the shuffle option? holy fuck, I get 10 songs in before it shuts off. |
I was hoping they would just give me a 160GB so that I could load my whole collection on it. |
Apple's been this way for 20+ years.
They sell you a trendy product that's a shittier version of something else, but has a better interface.
Upgrade path? Um, buy a new one... the upgrade is usually more expensive.
Repair? Well for the first thirty days, maybe, after that we make it a bitch and a half.
Their service model: we make you our whore, and then you put up with whatever we decide you should.
If you buy Apple, it's because you don't know how consistently shitty they are. |
I have a service plan for 3 years on my ipod. |

they won't do that unless it breaks [the same part] three times.
my macbook is on its second repair after two months.... [well i got it in summer of 2006] and they
still give me back the same exact one even know the guy said to me there is known problems with
the model i have. thank god for this three year service plan. i kinda want it to break so i can get a
new, faster, less hot computer. |
I think I'm the only person who has never had a problem with any Apple product. I must be lucky. |
I'm fairly certain that my refrub is going to have problems. heh. |
If you buy Apple, it's because you don't know how consistently shitty they are. |
well atleast when the iphone dropped prices they gave all the people who spent $600 a few hundred dollars back, but i agree on your statement. the last few years apple has become less reliable, unless you have their warrienty which i think you should get if you are buying anything over a few hundred dollars. |
apples are getting more shitty cause they openned up to 3rd party shitty hardware. when they controlled the hardware, everything was fine. |
I'm fairly certain that my refrub is going to have problems. heh. |
well when you do you have problems, go there, and make sure you get the same person who helped you out before... maybe they'll throw in a set of high quality head phones? or maybe they'll give you a new ipod.
for instance when we got our HD TV at best buy we had some problems... so we talked to the manager and he gave us a free $250 DVD player and some high quality cables. |
I've had an iPod for the last 2 years, and I've never had a problem with it. I've also had an iMac G5 for the last 3 years, and have never had a problem with it.
Don't buy into the Mac Hate Hype. |
I got my HDTV at Circuit City. some dude came and repaired it a ton of times... then sony sent me a refrub when that repair company went out of business. the refurb has been decent enough. |

other than the last two months i've never had a problem with my computer.
the only thing was that my first ipod died... [it was the first photo and it died in about november of last year]
other than that i've never had a problem with anything. |
if you have a problem with any computer wether it's a mac, pc, or whatever, its 100% the user's fault 100% of the time.
unless it's a hardware issue, which doesn't make a difference what OS it runs.
However, apple's OS is very annoying to use, isn't compatable with way too many programs, and their user's are all hippies. |

Where did you come from? You're almost as annoying as HailTheLeaf. |
HEy guyZ apple os is very annoying to use. I cant run my exe on it. It makes me have roid rage and then when I tried to open up the case i broke it. Everyone who ever bought an ipod is a hippy. Having a secure root user is homosexual. |
You don't have a secure root user, however.
You want secure? BSD or Debian.
You want gay boutique shit that pretends to work? Try Apple.
It tastes like mancock covered in pink mayonnaise and then it crashes. |
"Mac OS X is based on the Mach kernel and is derived from the Berkeley Software Distribution (BSD) implementation of Unix in Nextstep. Nextstep was the object-oriented operating system developed by Steve Jobs' company "NeXT" after he left Apple in 1985."
I run debian on my pc... but believe me having os x running on my kvm switch is is great. If gnome was as quick as the finder and I could get adium for Ubuntu i'd probably stop using os x as much... as for windows... its been using the retarded children of its same old kernel since windows 95. |
And i also have a secure root user numb nuts. |
No, Windows 95 used a different kernel; current windows are based on the NT 3.51 kernel.
OS X is "based on" BSD but has a number of kernel entry points that aren't part of the BSD design. It's like BSD 'tard with a lot of shitty apple code in it.
I like Debian. I'm not so sure about Gnome. Here's a nice fast Window manager:
http://fluxbox.sourceforge.net/
...and you don't have to be dependent on a neurotic, flaky company like Apple for your gear. |
And i also have a secure root user numb nuts. |
NOT ON YOUR MAC, YOU DON'T ;) |
yes i do come hack my box ssh root@sxealex.com |
i dislike fluxbox... Xfce is good for lightweight |
