wow, i heard of this before, but at that time they were talking about taking the elevator to the moon?! I know, it's friekin dumb. But i woulda said that about an elevator to a space station too.

The other issue is that due to basic physics, this thing would generate an amazing electron flow...

ya know, if the people who did the tether experiment would just take a lesson from glass blowers, it may have worked. Lesson-
