I always had mine set on "rock". Just tested out all the other settings and "dance" seems to work best for my setup.

DRI, Ladytron and Order From Chaos were my guinea pig bands - because I know you're wondering.

... what do you set your Ipod EQ to?

I use some mid-range Shure in ear headphones with triple flange sleeves. They're only single driver; so, I use the treble reducer setting. It gives the bass more presence and takes away any harshness of the highs.

I'll be upgrading to the high end Shure in ears soon. Triple driver. Going to be sweeeeet. I'll have to look more at my EQ settings when that time comes.

there is an eq on an ipod?

toggletoggle post by ZenErik   at Nov 26,2008 9:51am
Not a good one, but it exists.

toggletoggle post by moenli at Nov 26,2008 3:09pm
yea, i keep mine on rock
R&B is also good for a good bass boost, but i think it can be a little too loud. I wish there was a way to set your own custom EQ on it

I have these awesome Coby ear buds that youstuff into your ears like ear plugs and have AWESOME bass in em. Sounds like there's a stereo/woofer in your head.
Best $10 i ever spent

man I'm already deaf. No need for bass in my ears. Guess it's a brutha thing.

toggletoggle post by moenli at Nov 26,2008 5:21pm
the awesome thing is that you get awesome sound and nice low end without having to jack up the volume and blow your ears out

I think I'm going to invest in those Cobe ear buds. I hate the lack of bass in regular iPod ear buds (unless you reaaaally push em in there) but also hate headphones any larger.

coby is usually garbage quality.

I find these style of headphones to be best

they don't get tangled and break as easy as earbuds, but they wrap around the back of your head and are discrete and comfortable.

I like those Ear Candy ear buds. No relation to my sweet ass cabinet.

toggletoggle post by Niccolai   at Nov 28,2008 1:56am
skull candy, you mean?

I think rock sounds the best...

I keep my EQ flat. Closet thing to what the mix/master engineer intended it to sound like.

toggletoggle post by ZJD   at Nov 28,2008 10:09am
i think mine is usually on piano

That's the ticket, Niccolai!
