I know it sounds silly....which i guess it is. But it's a wonderfully fun time. Every shovel you pick up makes your arms feel like they stretch like a rubber band... and when you fall over into a snow bank...which you will, you make snow angels and it feels like your swimming in molasses. It's strange, but a lot of fun.
