There are some good Deathcore bands out there but Whitechapel and Suicide Silence are two bands who write around the breakdowns way too much.

Because it's generic music pretending to be death metal chock full of breakdowns for kids with crooked hats. It's influenced more by Korn and hatebreed than real death metal. It's just a trend and no one will remember these bands in a few years.
