what are some good IPA's? i'm really into them and i want to try more than Harpoon, Ipswich and Flying Dog, which is all that's available at the corner liquor store.

i think i had a really good sierra nevada ipa once but i may be remembering a different company due to alcoholism.

taste like bug spray.

TRINITY BREWHOUSE IPA out of Providence is the best I've tasted.

Pretty sure you can find six-packs at good LQ stores.

Sierra Nevada is good.

My favorite is Long Hammer (brewed by Redhook in Portsmouth, NH). It's strong, but very drinkable, unlike some of those (like Stone) that are really unpleasant after 1 or 2.

i find that the microbrewed IPAs are better in most cases than the larger brands.

9'th for dogfish (specifically, 120 gets my vote)

also, if you like highly hopped beers, try some american barleywines.
high in hop bitterness, good malt balance, sweet in the finish, always high alcohol (average A.B.V. % 8-12)

for the most part that is true. i always like getting a microbrew for the first pint of the night.

eh...not 100 percent true.
sam adams is definately too big to be considered a microbrewery, or small craft brewer, yet they have many beers that are better than many other craft/microbrewed beers out there.

their Imperial Stout, Brown Ale and Black Lager are amazing.
for seasonals, you can't beat the Holiday Porter.

the worst ipa is harpoon's. worst beer ever. i'd rather have someone else drink a good beer and then piss it into my mouth than drink harpoon ipa.

or corona. i can't see how people can drink that piss water. ugh and i just thought about bud light&lime and puked a little in my mouth.

natty and black label are both better than harpoon ipa. never had koch's golden anniversary. sounds awful.
