so I was listening to the radio. it was this american life on sunday as I was pulling up to fat cat's. some guy was talking and then he said something like "and some day the human race will be extinct and that's ok".

that really got me thinking of why we are all spinning our wheels doing all this stuff if in the end we are just going to go extinct.
what do you think?

it happened to the dinosaurs. we're next. We may millions of years left though so that gives us a window to fuck up the rest of space. Unless the space people have better artillery than us.

I think extinction for the human race is a vert tough thing to acchive. I mean look at we have done since our inception to this planet. He have grown and we have overcome. Ther is a posibility that a major celestial collision or a major earth shake could desimate a large # of us, but in the end i think that the human race is safe from extinction. We are very resilliant and resorceful creatures, somehow i think we could survive. There are only a couple things that i can think of that would kill us all of... 1) the world blows up with no notice. 2) aliens come to earth and dont stop untill we are all destroyed cooked and then eatten, 3) a deadly desease grows and no human is imune to it, blood from every oriface and we die within minutes.... so in conclusion, i feel that the human race is almost never going to be extinct, we might evolve to become something different, maybe in apperence but we, and I personaly think that we will never be extinct, plus we have John Connors on our side incase the Terminators are activated.. but i think we'll be ok

All that is probaly true, we will be extinct one day, but we're here now and let's make the most of it. Life is precious, don't take it for granted, live each day to the fullest. That is my hallmark thought for the day. I love you all{group hug, kisses}.

homo sapien neanderthalis was a distinct line from us. not a direct relative and were an off-shoot that died off. their skulls were all sorts of shapes non-modern man.

homo sapiens are ~1/2 million years old.

homo erectus died off with our raise. our raise lead to a lot of things, increasing body size, increase brain size, and our skull changed to accept talking parts.

homo erectus and neanderthalis both had capabilities of speach and comunication, im just stating that there were extreem similarities between the different species of man.... You are correct to say that sapien is yes 1/2 a million years old... there are to many similarities that would make me think that there wasn't that much of a difference. thats all...

Thats fine, im not ashamed of being geneticly related to a chimp, in fact im proud to share similar genetics with a lower form of primate..
