in your opinion, who do you think the least respected/worst metal band is?

Least respected and worse would be different for me.
I think Unearth is one of the worst, but they worked their asses off to get noticed. So I respect that about them.

I have very little respect for this band the Acaca Strain, and they suck.

i'm sure if the girl bassist was still in the band you wouldn't have said that.

the guitarist 'dan' is his name I think, jacks people's gear. bands beware!

The Acacia Strain got everything handed to them, while other bands actually have to work to get shows and be noticed.

I don't know why anyone would help a band out who sucks and steals other bands gear. I bet they always got everything they wanted growing up also.

yep, most importantly the new video they have is so lame.

unearth doesn't write their own songs. they just cut and paste old in flames riffs and hatebreed breakdowns. i have no respect for that kind of songwriting. that's why they are my least favorite band. at least some metalcore bands know how to actually blend the metal and core enough to make it tolerable and sometimes even good. i don't really like to badmouth bands, but unearth really is my least favorite band. i despise their music. i bet they're all getting their bank accounts ready for large deposits though, considering they'll probably be the biggest thing on mtv after the next album comes out.

i dunno simon is a pretty good guitar player... I don't listen to unearth, but I've seen them.

That all has to do with John g. being in charge now. Why do you think they aren't all together now. He has a different direction completely in mind now. I grew up playing shows with those guys 10 years ago in maryland, and I can say without a doubt, I'd rather play with Misery-Index than fetus. Now I think back and am glad I decided not to play with them when they asked me. It is john, all the way.

Yeah you dumbass I was and dont think im not ready to back myself up on it. I wore an A F t shirt hahahha i got the reaction out of everyone I wanted. I danced to DF like I usually do. I remember dancing to them back when they used to play in the pallidium upstairs. I suppose I was immature about dancing, whatever but those so called "true" kids who sing along to the new DF deserved to get punched. Thats why I did it figured id get back at DF in my own kinda way. I thought it would be interesting to see how kids would react to me wearing that kind of shirt. However im sure if I had on a DM t shirt that reaction on the relapse board and people labeling me " disco Paul" wouldnt have happend. Im friends with a ton of brutal bands and kids who actually support DM. Plus I find it comicial that kids still talk about it lol its so great that I made such a big impact on these kids lives. Hell I still litsen to Fetus im litsening to KOA right now. Its sad that people have such simple minds and that they still support this band right now. And to certain people calling me a "poser" lol am I really the poser?? Just look at it Dying fetus = sell out posers, same with everyone who supports this new garbage with the name Dying fetus slapped upon it.

The best example of Fetus completly changing was after the new lineup was in place (which blows) they were all posed in front of an amerikkkan flag acting tough. the old fetus would have been burning the flag. I'm tempted to go see Misery Index in NY with Kevin Talley, even my father knows he kicks ass at drums.

Why mortician, mortician mops the floors with all the other death bands out there, exhumed rules as well.... dont cut bands short becuase of sound and just becuase you have to listen to the song 3 times to get what there playing doesnt mean they suck.... mortician rules

i own a mortician cd, but i only listen to it once in a while. they are a novelty act to me. it seems like they have a couple different songwriting templates that they choose from when coming up with something new. it was cool finally seeing them at nj metalfest in november. i just don't think they are anything amazing. cool once in a while though.

i hate mortician. a mortician songs usually last a minute (which is fine cause all grind bands do that) but the first 30 seconds is a clip from a horror B movie, and then the actual music part is 3 riffs tops, electronic blast beats going faster than god, and lyrics that are 4 lines long. boring. it has nothing to do with production, it has to do with the fact the music sucks

and exhumed i hate on both a musical and a personal level. when i saw them live a couple weeks ago, they didn't do anything that impressed me. they're nothing special IMO

i respect most bands... but doom bands dont usually get the respect they deserve. which is unfortunate really... they dont need to play fast to get portray emotion. infact, doom has even more emotion in it than 40 death metal bands combined.

i agree there. i listen to a good amount of doom bands and doom-influenced bands and they don't seem to get the attention that death/black/grind/hardcore bands get. my favorite bands are usually the bands that can't be categorized into a metal subgenre. those bands are usually either hailed as being great for doing something different, or ignored because they don't fit some narrowminded group of fans' favorite metal subgenre.

I have 0 respect for any band that spreads negativity, talks crap, have elitist attitudes, and leach off of other bands. I also have no respect for bands that expect things to be given to them.

i never got into maudlin. maybe it was because they badmouthed opeth (i know alot of people badmouth them, but i love opeth and you can call me a fanboy if you want. they are one of the only bands i can act like a little girl about, but not blindly. i'd admit it if opeth put out a shitty album, but i have yet to hear something bad from them), and maybe it was the music. my friends have enjoyed joking around about that big guy who played guitar for MotW and stood in front of his bandmates on stage all the time. we never knew his name, so we just called him big bastard. he rules. i saw him at the gathering show a few weeks ago and almost shit my pants. he's pretty much a legend to alot of my friends.

i realllly like MotW's new band, Kayo Dot. amazing band in sort of the same vein as MotW but with a lot more ambience.

i dont respect any nu-metal bands. I also dont like the new dying fetus cd. Actually, the only fetus i still listen to is Infatuation with Malevolence and Purification through Violence.

why infatuation? that has crap production and they have most of the songs from that album on the other albums... that cd is for hardcore DF fans only.

you have to see mortician for what they truly are, which is the most brilliant anti-music band that has ever existed. every album is barrels of fun.
