if anyone doesn't know hero(n), they are mike from the heuristic and reid from protokol. I saw them recently for the first time in a year and they blew my mind.

I didn't know we were underrated (fuck, I didn't know we were "rated" at all!), but thank you, Rusty. Everyone should come to this show regardless. It's going to melt faces.
Hero(n) - 9:00-9:25
Seraphim - 9:40-10:05
Jack Burton vs David Lo Pan - 10:20-10:50
Finisher - 11:05 - 11:35
The Proselyte - 11:50 - 12:30
All this shit is approximate.
Rev, thanks for showing up. It's been awhile seen I've seen you at a show I booked.
Wren, always a pleasure. Mike? Sorry if I forgot your name. I met you tonight for the first time. We talked about Rock N Shock. Anyway, great to see you. Sorry, if I got your name incorrect. Correct me now! Mark Richards, thanks for coming out and always making the coolest fucking flyers.
The Proselyte - Fucking awesome. It's been a good minute since I've seen those dudes live. They rocked out some new shit. I was psyched.
Finisher - A new song and bunch of classics. Is it cool if I call them classics if I recorded them a year ago and just mixed them a couple weeks ago? haha.
Jack Burton vs. David Lo Pan - It was my first time seeing them. I heard tracks online, but still didn't know what to expect. I see these guys and To the Wolves on a bunch of bills together in the future.
Seraphim - I'll just say. They blew what audience was there at that point away. Seriously, they were one of the best bands I booked and I wasn't even prepared for it in the least. I can't wait to book them again. They said something about February. I see them doing alot better next time.
Hero(n) - I can't wait for them to get the credit they deserve. They are exactly what you expect from an ex-Heuristic band. Check 'em out next time.
oh, I experimented and shot about 12 frames of medium format film, but they were probably just junk. if anything comes out of it, I will uploading it in probably a week. I have to finish the roll this weekend.
It's also worth mentioning that Seraphim being on this show happened because this board exists. They've had two days off and were staying with a relative in New Hampshire. This show gave them a few dollars to get to their next gig, which is in VT tomorrow. If anyone from this board lives near burlington, you should go check Seraphim out. They are so fucking great. Thanks again to the Rev for being able to help this band from Mississippi get their first gig in Massachusetts.

Hero(n): always awesome to see them. Mike and Reid play back and forth some times like Guy and Ian from fugazi and at other times like dualing Page Hamiltons. Their music also seems as varied as fugazi's catalog. though the Hero(n) bass is played more like Othrelm's guitars than a bass.
Seraphim: the first song did not impress me at all. I thought that I made a mistake heading down to see them instead of.. er.. well, just about anything. The videos were so good that they posted earlier. Then I crossed over the stage and the music tok off! I had also been standing too close to the bass cab. Looking around the room to the thin crowd, I thought that there were a lot more people who should have been here at this show. They also mixed in well after Hero(n).
Jack Burton vs. David Lo Pan: the singer was/is the new singer of bury the needle. He did the same crowd wondering that makes BTN shows awkwardly fun.I think it was the funniest when he yelled in to devin's girl and her middity friend. Pretty good stuff, but hard to classify. I think that they were a sort of weird transition from Seraphim to Finisher, but still.
Finisher: I refused to believe they are really from lawrence. They are like the first successful thing from lawrence since the 90's. It's good that they are on every witchtrial show.
The Proselyte: rock as always. I can't believe that the drummer puts his lips around that mic. I hope that is his personally one and not one of the OB's floor models. he's going to get H1N1, ebola, and hoof n' mouth. They seem to play at least a new song each time I see them.
